Regarding something very surprising happening, AJ Storr will be playing at Illinois next year
Please pass on Storr. We don’t need another ball hog that can’t play defense whatsoever

There are very few schools better positioned for NIL World than us. Indiana is one of them. They will need a real coach to make good on it though.
I agree (though one insider seemed to indicate that we are even ahead of them in NIL right now, but that is neither here nor there). I would wager a guess that, in the long run, we are devoting significantly more donor money to football NIL than they are?

Mixed feelings if we land Storr. Not convinced he’s a winning player (inefficient and doesn’t seem bought in defensively) and not wild about poaching in conference talent.

But after watching him I will say this…I think TJ clearly has more top end speed in the open court, but by my eyes I think AJ might have the quicker first step. Think he’s a little bigger and stronger too.

It's always difficult to know what's real, posturing, and downright misinformation. I just get my popcorn and trust the staff.
I don’t believe squat until it comes from the player or school. It’s fun to watch the roller coaster from the ground, though!

This is not an anti-insider post or whatever. Feels like I might need that disclaimer.

Storr is a more natural three-level scorer in the half court than TSJ.

At this moment TSJ is way better at every other part of the game of basketball, which are many. But Storr has an underlying talent level that should make him a better and more complete player than he currently is.

We shall see.

When I got it through my head to look at the insiders as expressing not the truth but what hangers-on with connections to our staff BELIEVE to be the truth, I really liberated myself from a lot of angst.

Can you guys imagine after hooking MD up to our wagon and trotting him into Madison to put up 31 & 8 (and then beat them again in the B1G Champ game) ... that we now take their best player (and actually develop him). That wikipedia page for Kohl Center might need to stay as-is for a while.
They make great milkshakes in Wisconsin with all that dairy production. Enjoy those shakes while we drink 'em.

Some improvement ideas I've had in Storr for the Transfer Portal Tracker are to try to have some way to differentiate level of interest. You'll now see some formatting to differentiate between the following categories of players. Link to Updated List

Insider confirmed interest - names have been dropped by insiders in one way or another but don't fit other categories
3rd Party Reported Contacts - names that have been linked to us only through 3rd party sources on twitter but haven't been reported by insiders on the board
High Priority Targets - interpreted based on the sentiment of the insiders on the board
Not Likely Targets - names that were added based on the conditions above but don't seem to be likely for us. Players who commit to other schools will be similarly greyed out when they are no longer available.

These categories are essentially based on my understanding of posts on the board - I have no inside info beyond what 0440, Indy, LVille, DB, et al. post to here.

I've considered sorting by this interest level but for now I kind of like the chronological approach.

Happy Sweet 16 Day everyone! Beat ISU! ILL

after all the players they have pulled from the state of Illinois over the years in football and hoops, I WANT US to POACH their roster of some players
