Are fade-away jumpers near the basket and middle-of-lane jumpers considered a part of Booty Ball?

If so, then you need to clear your mind and not compare it to MD's version of Booyt Ball.

Why? Because he isn't doing it now? Because I should be negative? Because he's reached his peak? Because he can't improve?
Because he's not MD? Because you have a DeLorean and have been to the future? Because you said so?

Some of you crack me up! Because Ty isn't being asked to shoot and he's not part of that offense, you seem to believe that means he can't or won't in the future.

I can't wait til' he pulls his full bag out. If you don't think he's shooting in practice and working on all of those things, you are simply arguing just to argue.

1. Yes. 2. No, because when reading some of your posts, you exude positivity  3. To be determined. 4. To be determined. 5. Yes, he is not MD. 6. And you can see into the future by telling someone to "clear" his/her mind and think "happier" thoughts, just knowing for sure Ty will be MD. 6. Just because you said so?

You crack me up, Mr. Indignant--God forbid someone has a differing opinion than you. Lighten up Francis.

We'll have to wait and see if Ty can develop a jump shot. I certainly hope so, and if he does, then it will be great for the team, and I will be wrong.

Lol....I never said that he "would" be, I simply said I can envision it. And while I can't see into the future, there is a 69% chance that this is a simulation, and future me is the one controlling it.

Edit: ok I was trying to keep this light and civil. You should read more carefully if you want to be cute.

He wasn't on the 19-20 team where the tournament was canceled and everyone got a free year.

My understanding was that the 20-21 freshmen got 6 years, but could still only play 4, but I guess that's wrong?
They get a full extra year. They did it to give the kids an incentive to play.

I'd love to have Coleman Hawkins but i dont know how much additional improvement (vs regression in stats) to expect after this year - improved almost every category across the board with ~38% 3pt.

His scoring could improve. If he became a 16-18 pt scorer that would certainly improve his stock.

True to form! Lol. Telling people to clear their minds and think happier thoughts and now saying I should read more carefully.

I said my say and am moving on now. I appreciate Dan for this forum. Go Illini.

More than anything, I think Ty looks like he lacks confidence in his shot outside the lane. I don’t know what his shot looks like since he hasn’t shown it in warm ups or a game. My hope is he spends the off-season getting in the reps. He has all of the intangibles to be a star if he can hit an outside shot.

The 20-21 season just plain old didn’t count toward eligibility limits. Many players were considering opting out of the season out of fear the post season would be canceled again.
Coleman has only played in 3 seasons that counted against his eligibility.

BU knows what is a reasonable expectation for Ty for our future. What Ty is allowed to do now is what he is very good or average at. Shooting is not amoung them yet. Ty may get better and be allowed to do more in the future but BU will not bet our season on that and wi add more shooters and players to handle our PG duties Marcus did this year. It would be awesome if Marcus was granted a waiver to go along with those additions.

That's a great point. However, I believe he will grow and not rush his shots, thus, increasing his 3-point shot percentage, and being more of an unselfish player by driving and dishing out more.

Ty grew tremendously, I believe, and so will DGL.
I’m sure he’ll get better, but post I replied to said he’d be starting next year. I think we have problems if that is the case.

Does this loss kill recruiting momentum? Got embarrassed on the national stage.
Heck no. We had a bad loss in the elite 8 against a much better team. We exceeded expectations for the season. I expect that we'll be bringing in some top level upper class transfers to fill out our roster. Our incoming transfers will be more highly touted than the ones who helped carry our team this past season.

Illini should look to add 3-point shooters to balance out roster.Well stocked on interior with Dainja,Hansberry,Morez.Adding Davis and other shooters should give us potent inside-out offensive game.
Harris??
