He also committed to Purdue at one point. We will see what happens. His history creates doubt:
  • Finished high school at Word of God Christian Academy in North Carolina and playing in Overtime Elite
  • Previously attended Montverde Academy and Real Salt Lake Academy after beginning prep career at McCutcheon High School
Players just don't tweet that out. I think you need to take him at his word. that was then, this is now.

I want Dain to stay, but he's not a feature guy. We need stretch 5 at his level or higher. With Morez coming and Amani staying and almost assuredly a talented 5 from the portal, minutes will be slim at the 4/5.
Unfortunately the guys returning (not incoming freshman) aren’t feature guys. All nice roll players but need to find goto guys in the portal.

You or anyone else don’t know what these players will be next year. I especially won’t be calling the ‘ROLL’ or ‘ROLE’ players. I think these players are better than that.

Thank you to the insiders and the entire Loyalty community for your information and opinions. Best fan base in America!

My ideal attack for the transfer portal is to go snag 3-4 big fish and let our young players blossom around them. My projections will not include Dain Sincere or Nicolo as it seems they would be the portal leans at the moment.

Starters
1. Portal PG - My preference is Boswell. Has struggled at times in first two seasons, but his age suggests he can continue to work toward his HIGH ceiling on both ends. With Fletch, he can be a dominant point of attack defender.

2. Portal SG - I don’t have a specific name here. Just hoping for a player that can fill up the score sheet and shoot the 3 at a high clip.

3. Portal SF - My preference is Storr. Like others, he’s not my favorite player but that may just be because he was at Wisconsin. I loved him on St. John’s. If Brad (and two different staffs) want to bring him in, I trust they believe they can maximize his potential.

4. Ty - Moving Ty back to his forward position as we return to having more traditional bigs. I really view Ty as positionless. Optimistic he will take a leap on both sides of the court next season, specifically finishing at the rim.

5. Portal Center - My preference is Kalkbrenner. May be recency bias but I’d love a defensive eraser in the middle. It seems like there were more mentions of Kalk earlier in the year but hopefully this dream ain’t dead.

Bench
DGL - Harmon-type role, hopefully we don’t recruit over him here
Goode - sniper, reliable, can play 12 or 32 min depending on matchup
Amani - Can play 4 or 5, high upside need to find ways to get him minutes
Morez - Can also play 4 or 5, may be more limited than most hope for an incoming 5star but I see him doing well in 10-15 mpg role

That 9 man lineup would still be pretty versatile even with a traditional PG and C. Amani or Morez could give you small ball 5 minutes. Ty could play a guard spot with multiple bigs. You could go 4 shooters around the center spot. Our young core of Amani Morez and DGL would all have consistent roles even though we’re bringing in 4 starters. Goode can fill in as a starter if DGL isn’t giving us the scoring punch off the bench that Brad likes (push 2/3 man to the bench).

Just spewing out my 2 cents. Everything is fluid this time of year and I don’t have any insider information. Interested to continue reading what directions others have in mind for next season.

As always, I-L-L

Which made us extremely one dimensional on both ends
Eh. I think it moreso the personnel around Kofi than Kofi himself.

Could have been a lot more dynamic offensively but they simply didn't have the athleticism on on the wing that could get to the rim and finish. Especially so once Ayo was gone.

Defensively you were just kinda forced into playing drop coverage off pnrs.

Kofi's tweet from the other day referencing how he wished he had stayed home...I Hope CH gets an incredible review in the combine that shows he should go, but I'm not convinced he will. If he doesn't, I hope he comes back.
Reminds me of the song by Player - “Baby Come Back”. The was a Loyalty poster that changed the song to “Kofi Come Back” a couple years ago…which was an awesome post.
Now’s the time for the remake “Coleman Come Back”.
What say you Loyalty poster…..?

I can understand it’s not our style, but man it just seems like we need someone who can counter these 7+ footers that have been our kryptonite. It seems like Purdue is going to just keep cycling them in.
Everyone needs a BB Verdonk...our Edey kryptonite, one upon a time

Don't sleep on Jase Butler.

So, I realize that many months ago, one of the insiders said/implied that Ryan Kalkbrenner might be a potential portal entry, and so some folks keep bringing him up, but is there actually any credible belief that he's going to enter the portal?

Just don't see why he'd want to leave an already-successful program like Creighton, which would likely also have decent NIL money for him, and whose coach (McDermott) just signed a new four-year deal this month.
Kalk isn't bad, but watching him play he seemed a little uncoordinated even for a Big.

I don't know. Watching him come out of the game and walk off the court to hug McDermott kinda made it seem like he was done at Creighton.

I would assume pro ball, but maybe he will try to take a year to make as much money as possible.
