I think right now everyone is exploring their options besides DGL and Amani-think about half come back and half don't

I’m interested in the threshold being sought by Goode. He averaged 20 mpg this year. That’s a decent chunk of minutes, especially since he had a nagging leg issue.

Yes. At least going to talk to the coaches about what the role will look like. He's not going to play a lot of pg again. The staff would like him back though, but everyone that's coming back is replaceable

I still think it's more likely than not Ty is back
I think Ty is a quality glue guy, but he's very one-dimensional right now. I'd certainly like him back as a solid culture guy, but his minutes will be limited if he's a liability on the offensive end.

It’s gotta say something that the two freshman this year that barely got minutes are both for sure wanting to come back. Means the culture was really good.

Unfortunate new reality is that for older guys, the new system may make it more beneficial for them to leave and get a NIL bump.

Need his energy, speed, hustle and rebounding. And, it appears, his dedication to Illinois University. Work on jump shot, maybe, and free throws? Then we got the bonus round whole package with you.

I am a Ty guy. He appears to bleed orange and blue.

is there a reason everyone has to be a scoring threat? There is only one ball to be scored.
The BU talking point of hustle being the defensive woes gets a little tiresome during the year when fans know it's all gas and no breaks.
(side note blaming players for defensive woes due to a lack of hustle when everyone knows you're playing all offense and sat your defensive stopper is deflection at its highest, good leaders take ownership of their mistakes)

back to my point

Harmon wasn't exactly setting the nets on fire.
I didn't see much difference between Quincy and RJ esp at the end of the season as he disappeared.

Why does seasoned portal guys not in the systems outweigh guys in the system for more than a year?

My analogy is always, put Jeter on the Padres and he isn't a HOF player. the guys who hit around him gave him the opportunity to be great. Harris could be our Jeter.

the issue with Ty is that you’re going to have whoever is guarding him in drop, clogging lanes. I highly doubt he just develops a jumper this off season. I’d hate to see him go, but he’s replaceable absolutely.
Thanks.
Maybe. But I like the guy. Can't be sentimental these days what with free agency. What crap. I will not be a cold fish. Never. Go Ty!

Im wary of him developing one too, but it's not like he's never had one. If you look at his HS tape, he had a good stroke at the line and there's a few clips of having good stop-and-pop technique. One of those players where I genuinely thinks it's some sort of mental/yips issue. I think he could work through it, but could he put it to game speed? Time will tell.

I can understand why just about everyone would leave besides Ty. He started on an Elite 8 team, and I highly doubt another team is going to give him more NIL and/or usage.

Last off-season he improved his free throw shooting, this off-season he needs to get a mid-range jumper. I'm sure he knows that and I expect he will be successful in adding that as well. You would be hard-pressed to find a replacement with his motor and intangibles. We need to hold onto him.

That his weaknesses create problems for building lineups does not mean that his other strengths are easily replaceable.

Rebounding and defense of course, but most notably he is a plus-plus passer for his (real) position, something that makes it much easier to have a shot-hunter like AJ Storr out there.
