Insiders - any insight into how these player dealings like the MN hotel room happened before it was above board with NIL? I feel like meeting at the BTT in minny is a wild move but maybe not anymore. Curious how this was all handled/dealt with before it was part of the game?
I can tell you how it was done in the 1980s/1990s. Alums (like me) were asked by former players to have lunch/dinner with certain high school caches. Donations were on the menu. I always declined. I was never going to get myself or my school in trouble.

Explain that to me if you would please. How did that work? Donations were on the menu….. how exactly would that work? Would you just straight up say “they want to give you x”?

And how did you get white listed for this? Trusting someone to not blab is a massive risk no? You have to be a better source I’d presume?

Insider’s rumor has it Aj Storr had a Big Mac for dinner tonight? Can you confirm?

I'd assume both Johnell Davis and Goldin are on their way to Michigan given Dusty May? Man if they also pick up the OSU players like Small due to the Boynton hire, that just might be one of the best big ten teams heading into next year.

Zeke Mayo to Kansas on the Storr pivot.

I’d guess the same for Davis — Goldin is a question mark because they visited Danny Wolf today and I can’t imagine taking both Wolf and Goldin.

Maddox visited TCU today. I want him pretty bad but I can’t imagine he’d come off the bench as a lot of people have speculated. Dude is a high major starting level player, IMO.

I’d be cool with him as our starting point guard, tbh. I’d rather take Boswell but my fear is that we’ll pass on guys like Maddox while we wait for Boswell and end up missing out on PGs like last year with RayJ if KB ends up staying at Arizona or not picking us (yes, I know we had an awesome season without a PG)

Skip to 3:15 for those who want to hear what’s in Storr.

Shoutout to our guys Lville, Indy and illini0440 for having it first. Great work as usual by them.

Does the guy who wrote that champagne room article actually think Davis is going to play booty ball? Domask Did those moves for four years at Southern Illinois.
Typical single track mind on the booty. :)

Brad looks at matchup advantages, so whatever strength a player has could be exploited, imo.

Who cares? If he didn't have a semi-famous father, no one would even know his name.
Honestly think he could end up being a decent college player. Obviously wouldn't have anywhere near the hype and would be likely playing at a mid major but from the couple games I watched he's legitimately got a high bbiq.

Like by far the smartest player on USC so that isn't saying a ton. I think he could be a solid college contributor by his junior or senior year but Dad will probably push him to the NBA and I don't think he's really that type of player.

Also, I think he's more 6'2 than the 6'4 he's listed at.

If he comes here, it'll be to play the 6th man microwave scoring role. He would still play on ton on a likely very solid team in his home state

I think Ty is a quality glue guy, but he's very one-dimensional right now. I'd certainly like him back as a solid culture guy, but his minutes will be limited if he's a liability on the offensive end.
I actually think Ty is only MISSING one dimension: outside shooting. Great motor, plus defender, plus rebounder, decent passer, high BBIQ, can post up, improving FT shooter …
