Does taking Maddox hurt Illinois' chances with Storr? Are there any comparable players to Storr that Illinois could land if they take Maddox and Storr decides to go elsewhere? How comparable in talent are Hill and Maddox? Who's the bigger contributor to a winning season?
did i read that they want to play together? both from Rockford. i get a little dizzy form the 1,300 posts.

So is this a no on Corhen?
He was specifically answering who are top 20 portal guys that we have an inside track on. Corhen is probably still in play for us but no doubt that Reynaud or Wolf would be bigger gets.

No taking Maddox would not hurt our chances will Storr. I do think there's an outside chance they take both-Hill played a lot of pg and so did Maddox. It all depends

I like Townsend, Raynaud. Humrichous and Storr.
Who is this Humrichous you speak of? Is that a typo?

Some of the film I watched of Maddox shows that he can shoot off the dribble/on the move. That is a skill we were lacking this last year and could've benefited from having that.

I haven't watched much of Maddox, but couldn't agree more about having someone that is a good shooter off the bounce and as the ball handler in pick and roll. Seems to me that if you want to run those kinds of "nba actions" you need guys that can make those nba shots.

Well he didn’t answer my direct question about Corhen so I used this an example to get the question back in front of him. Thought maybe he missed it.

I think Humrichous has a chance to be some version of Domask, only at 6’9. Hope we get him. Think he’s a perfect complement to Amani and Morez.

I think this is a common strawman argument that incorporates all things. A common one I hear is why should we have a US space program when we could be using that money to feed the hungry/shelter the homeless. But those two things aren't actually related and even if they were, why would they be mutually exclusive?

As to this example, we wouldn't be bringing in Storr to take Goode or Sencire's roster spot. There are open spots available and him joining the team won't effect either of them. But if we were to go after 5 or 6 transfers instead of 4 and tell Goode or Harris we prefer those transfers over them as slotted significant minute depth pieces that would effectively take their spot.

The real argument though is what you somewhat alluded to and that's how do you best build a team? And not only your starters but your bench? Do you want high level skill players on your bench that are part for part replacements of your starters or do you want to go more the skilled x-factor route where you have players who will be extremely high value in certain games and conditions but may struggle in other matchups?

In my opinion sometimes you do want to just rotate part for part talent and wear thin less talented teams down, but I also think sometimes you really need a high energy lock down defender (like Sencire) or a 3pt weapon, or a more physical bruiser down low depending on matchup. So it's a balancing act. I value a player like Sencire more whereas others may value a Harmon more, but I also think it depends on your team building philosophy.
After the first paragraph I thought this was going to about sandwiches.

You see, now, we have something worthy of investigation. If you consider a hot dog a sandwich….. isn’t a corndog essentially the same thing…. Except with a stick in it?

However, what may need more exploring is the thought…… do they make “cornbrats”?
