i would argue that waiting on RayJ didn't cost us anything and, in fact indirectly got us to the elite 8.I hope waiting on Storr isn’t a situation like last year where waiting on RayJ cost us other players in the portal. Staff should’ve learned from that.
Again just to play devil's advocate, Hill was first team all MAC, Maddox was second team. Hill has the higher rebounding and assist rate, and gets to the line almost twice as much.Better yet, look at TS%: Maddox 58.6% , Hill 51.4%
Do you think Terrance Shannon was the guy who was a good teammate and wanted to win guy or the more talented one??To be honest, I trust Brad and the staff. They made a lot of right reads from names that were not huge names last portal season.
I’d rather try to get an Every Day Guy who wants to win and be a teammate rather than a guy who is more talented and wants a bag.
I’ll wait till it all shakes out, but it sure will be exciting till then.

and yet his name still does not appear in the portal...

Michigan certainly seems to think they'll get Wolf.A non-Illinois one that’s interesting… Danny Wolf and Vlad Goldin just followed each other. Would they really team up at Michigan? Seems like an odd fit.
Maybe if they do, they can reel Dug McDaniel back in since they'll have a new team tutorMichigan certainly seems to think they'll get Wolf.
Can we go back to guessing which players in the final 4 are hitting the portal?
Imagine a front court of Coleman Hawkins and Grant Nelson. (Highly unlikely, I know)

Yup. See it now. My bad.Look at the date the tweet was posted, April 1st. A few days ago and his name isn’t in the portal yet.
Respectfully disagree. Hill is fine, Maddox is multiple tiers a better player at the high major level IMO. Hill is high usage, always with the ball in his hands driving. Maddox can be used off the ball due to his elite shooting and also is a much better ball handlerAgain just to play devil's advocate, Hill was first team all MAC, Maddox was second team. Hill has the higher rebounding and assist rate, and gets to the line almost twice as much.
And his interested parties list is no joke either
I'm not turning my nose up at Hill. But I stand by the idea of Maddox as the better fit.

No worries.Yup. See it now. My bad.
I'd be curious to hear people's thoughts on starting Hansberry at the 4 next year (or maybe Rez? Can he shoot 3s at all to the extent that teams wouldn't be able to just dare him to shoot in a deep drop like they do vs Ty?) or do we need to give him 1 more year before he's ready to start? (I'm also assuming we get a starting 5 in the portal)
Losing this kid because we think we're the NIL Gods who just need a bit more time to assemble a multi-step superteam elsewhere would be a decision that ages like a fine milk.
