Early Pitino teams at KY pressed full court the entire game and played most of roster. Loyola Marymount under Paul Westhead tried to score every 30 seconds and played a lot of people. Not sure if there is difference between playing 9, 10 and 11 players.

Curious if the insiders will give an opinion on this - Lets say we add Storr or another wing/forward/4. Do all of Ty Rodgers, Tre White and Davis stay on the roster? My guess is White would decommits

Love it. Derek is as good as it gets for a prediction. This is fantastic news. Brad is killing it in the portal. If we get AJ Storr as well we may have to start trackign new statistic - how many HS recruits we went after but did not get that we eventually got as upper classmen in portal. TST, Quincy, Tre and now possibly Kylan.

we took what we had and made the best of it. we dont know what would have happened with a different player. might have had to sit someone who was instrumental in our success. lets get over the few loses in a great season. (every time You second guess our current program, just think about the Groce era)

The guy who just committed in full view of what we're trying to do in the portal is not leaving if we succeed in the plan we just sold him on.

The player who every one of our mock lineup/rosters is totally burying though is DGL...

Every once in a while a team does it. I think Arkansas' National Title team in the 90s also did it. But it's pretty unusual. Most coaches prefer a tighter rotation, especially late in the season.

And that's why none of us make the decisions. This is very entertaining reading and I enjoy commenting and being a smarta**. But some of you people need to just watch things play out.

It wouldn't shock me if DGL decided to leave if we end up signing all 3 of Storr, Maddox and Boswell, but he might also view the situation as a competition between him and Harris for back up guard minutes, and maybe he'd be willing to try to compete and earn time in that scenario.

The wing/stretch 4 position does seem way more crowded, though, if you have all of Storr, Ty, Luke, White, Davis and you probably lump Booth and maybe even Hansberry in that group, too?

I could see someone from that group deciding to leave, and maybe Davis redshirts, too? I guess in that case the most likely ones to leave would be Amani, Luke or Ty, so... Not sure who would be most likely to leave out of that group.

Either way will be very interesting to see how it shakes out. 🍿🍿

Under these scenarios DGL, Goode, Harris and Davis would be the 9-12 in the rotation. We would certainly lose 2 of those 4.

Silly. These committee members can't predict anything. We played Duquesne in the second round. We had people on the board screaming about the committee seeding BYU incorrectly. We didn't even play them. By the time you get to the Sweet 16, everyone is really good. Iowa State was a well deserving 2 seed.

When you starting focusing on UCONN, did they penalize Florida Atlantic? Northwestern? Auburn(who lost to Yale anyway)? San Diego State? Iowa State?

You would have to put every team in that boat. Every one.

Doesn't the committee try to avoid rematches earlier in the tournament? We played both Marquette and Tennessee earlier in the year and we lost both.

Here's the reality....if we don't wet the bed versus Michigan State, Penn State and Maryland or beat Marquette at home, where again we were winning late.... we're playing in Indianapolis and Marquette is in Omaha. That's on us. We should have won those games. We controlled that.

UCONN was the best team in the country , by far. It wasn't close. Did it suck to get them before the Final Four? Absolutely. It would have been nice to win one more game and get into the Final Four. That committee has WAY too much to consider that doesn't include TJ. That's just insanity.

One more thought....instead of faulting them for putting us in the same regional as UCONN.....let's not let up a 30-0 run, let's have TJ have a good game and let's beat them. There were no rules against that option.

Nobody is picking on us or are out to get us. This take along with the takes that the refs are out to get us every game is ridiculous and sometimes it's infuriating.

Very good post, And reasonable! The Committee will always take heat (from almost any fan, etc.) because it is an impossible job to please anybody (everybody.) THAT BEING SAID (sorry) I think they do a solid job.
