No, but we do need his talent and especially his 17 - 20 PPG. They can deal with his mom. The old, "we don't want him anyway" commentary is nothing more than self soothing. If we're 17-12 next year having to win games 62-60.... you'll revisit being ok working with a loud parent. Coaches for 12 year old AAU teams do it daily.
So we’re going to go 17-12 next year if we don’t add Storr? While Storr would have been a nice add, I’m not going to lose any sleep if BU and company move on from him. Nothing to do with “self soothing,” I just don’t believe adding Storr is the only way for Illini to have another successful season.

I hope somehow Brad convinces Amani to stay. I still maintain I’d like him over Booth. Maybe a stop of pursuit of booth (or missed recruitment) would change the tide.

Could there be a world in which we get/keep both?

News about players going to play elsewhere makes me sad.

I'd like some news about players coming to play for Illinois, particularly in a starting fashion, because it feels at this time like we have a roster of 6 reserves waiting for a starting lineup.

He just didn't suit us. We couldn't tie up that much NIL money for him. I'm sure he will find a situation out there that's tailor made for him. He will be a master at finding a seam and making the cut

Too bad that backstitch bothered him so much this season

Can’t you tell Sean to quit being so greedy?!?! Asking for a friend.

It is like he is trying to build a top 10 program….

Perhaps he could zero in and target the talent going to some of our competitors…

Sean shows no mercy ... And he's got NIL at Xavier ...

He also is an elite developer of guards ... Has a handful playing in the league right now ...

All this speculation and NIL $tuff: just plain insanity, Goodbye college sports of yore. Once upon a time. Just a racket now. Makes me nearly puke.
:) I wonder if we'll end up soon with collegiate rosters made up entirely of professional players with no academic requirements placed upon them. In other words, minor league teams housed on university campuses that will simply be part of the overall entertainment package available to university students and alumni.

One of the perks that could be offered is the opportunity, if desired, to audit a course or two in business management or psychology or kinesiology.

(This a joke post, sort of. Don't blow your top!)

Bingo. There is a reason the staff is looking to upgrade the roster
