Obviously not a done deal.....

But you make the Cohen + Claude vs. Frazier + Hansberry trade 100 times/100.

Let. Brad. Cook.
The implication, to draw it out, is that we'd hire Xavier assistant Adam Cohen and bring in their guard/wing Desmond Claude, who has two years to play.

Claude was a fringe top 100 guy out of HS who emerged this year as a pretty inefficient volume scorer on a mediocre team. Not a strong outside shooter.

Yeah, he shoots almost 80% from the line so hopefully on a better team he can be more efficient and get his 3pt% up since the stroke is there.

Again still all conjecture at this point anways lol

I do but also realize he had major limitations along with limited playing time he also averaged 9.6 or there about I'm not trying to be that guy to call someone out I'm truly do believe he will be successful all I'm trying to say he will need some help as does anybody.i love ty but as of right now are starting line up as is doesn't make me belive he can take a major jump.not to say you bring in the right help it can't change things but as of now I don't believe either of the last 2 transfers we've got help move the needle in big ten champs.just my 2 cents
Excellence in writing and sentence structure. Kudos. Almost as solid as your assessment on Boswell.

... wait until all addictions have been made ...

I gotta work on my keyboard skills. I am NO match for the Loyalty All-Stars. My alternative spellings and grammatically-challenged "prose" never reach the level of entertainment illustrated in the example above. It's depressing!

Can we wait until all addictions have been made before saying this is a bottom half of the B1G team? lol
Seriously. The psyche of some of our fans is so annoying. John Groce’s tenure holds more weight to them than being consistently good for the last five years AND being consistently good for decades before that. They’re predisposed to be negative and pessimistic, and they’re CHOOSING this attitude even when past evidence (e.g., Underwood recruiting the portal well and not finishing low in the standings) goes against their schtick.

Again, at this point this fan base needs a desperate injection of cocky homers. We have the swagger of a program that’s coming off of 5 NITs, not an Elite Eight, several NCAAT appearances, consistently top 20 teams and 3 Big Ten banners. 🙄

I love the boards obsession with players being recruited over. It literally happens every year. Their job is to bring in as much talent and possible and win games. It’s the players job to earn playing time. Look at the football team, a grad transfer dt was brought in and he was being out played by younger players. Guys need to be willing to compete for pt

I'm pointing out the comparison to rebut the notion that those numbers for Rice were "downright ugly".

They were pretty close to those of our first-team All B1G point guard, as a freshman.

If folks think 3.8/2.6 AST/TO is ugly, I have some bad news about Tre White and AJ Storr.
3.8/2.6 ratio is not great but it's understandable for a freshman.

As long as we don’t pick up the “new money” arrogance of UConn fans.

The only point they are making, in my humble O, is that maybe there should be a balance of getting proven talent that is perhaps at the end of their growth potential versus young unproven talent who are at the beginning of their growth potential (see Podz). Don't give up too soon. I think this staff gets that. I really, really do. Eventually someone will prove with data that there is greater revenue generated by winning with a team that has a greater average number of years spent playing with said team versus lower average (high turnover) years team. I really think that gets proven. Winning is extremely important (the most important), but it's not everything...
