Right, I hate doing this because I don’t want people to think I’m slamming Trent. But, we’ve had some dogs. Even with Bruce and John. They just couldn’t get guys that fit together.
The comps to DWill are pulling at my nostalgic heartstrings. Maybe Summer Bod by Fletch instead of a wired-shut, broken jaw diet will yield the same results, as far as soph to jr quantum leap we saw with Deron back between ‘04-‘05.
I am a Cubs fan. Don't think I will ever be an arrogant sports fan about anything. Have joked for years that if it wasn't for Michael Jordan, I may have given up on watching sports.

I came here to attempt to divert the idle recruiting thread from turning on itself by introducing a tangent regarding 1970s television. Now this. 
I'm forced to comply with convention and give thanks to BU who just reeled in a hometown five-star proven at an elite P-5 program. All I've got is this bastardization of Groundhog Day:
"When Chekhov saw the long idle spring portal window, he saw that period bleak and dark and bereft of hope. Yet we know that the spring portal window is just another step in the cycle of life. But standing here among the people of Champaign-Urbana (nay, Illini Nation) and basking in the warmth of their hearths and hearts, I couldn't imagine a better fate than a long and lustrous spring portal window. From Champaign, it's Phil Connors. So long."

There's a different between being HUGE fan favorites of a guy and making a guy a program legend. You need to have the numbers and national accolades to back that type of honor up.
Great news on Boswell. If he stays about where he's at it will be fantastic for the team. Obviously with his age there's a ton of upside potential.

Put Frankie up too then. Nothing changed about the criteria. Just do the All Century Team every 25 years so guys get their due while they're still alive and same with fans. Is anyone in 2101 gonna give a crap about any players that are playing now? Is anyone on this board gonna be alive to see the guys from 2000-2025 get inducted?

There’s a kid he’s been on campus with that certainly would entertain the idea of playing with him …
When you're running the show, at PG, on a team that has Caleb Love on it....your time to shine is substantially limited. If you pass to Caleb, good chance that you're not seeing the ball again.
