Just leave! You bring absolutely nothing to Loyalty. Zilch, zero, nada, nothing.
Now, now. That's not how you do it.

Illini fans of all stripes, Orange OR Blue should be welcome.

Includling the many who know a little less, care a little less, but still are Orange & Blue.

Come on now. We all better when we are at our best. :)

(I am very sorry to have cherry-picked this post. I just want to hear about Every Day Guys.)

Not an insider but I would guess length and athleticism.

Don't want to take anything away from Amani because I think he can be good but he is probably 6'7 and didn't appear to be able to attack off the bounce and isnt vertically explosive. He would probably struggle to provide much rim protection.

Booth is taller and a lot longer plus he can jump. I'd argue just a lot higher ceiling on booth.
I am warming to Booth quite a bit.

I also hate if that means Amani can't see a path to playing time.

Again: I am no "Trust In Brad" person. I am a retired HS basketball coach who desperately -- did you READ that D word? -- hopes the Fighting Illini roll. Every G*da* year.

You want the truth?

1)He called that it was going to happen. Whether it be "inside" information or not, he provided his thoughts months ago. It doesn't matter where he got the information, how he got it or when he got it. He passed that information on.

2)It happened

Those are indisputable facts.

Other facts:

3)You don't know ANYTHING about that person. Absolutely nothing. That can literally be Derek Piper and none of us would ever know. You're calling out a computer screen..

4)For you to come to this board and ridicule people that you don't know and proclaim them to be liars.....that's bogus.

Those are all facts of the matter.

Be better.
I mean honestly it isn't to difficult to connect the dots. He is from Champaign, has Illinois in his final 2. Kids can transfer every year so just pick a kid from the area that fills a need and in college and say next year we are going after him in the portal. There were tons of posts from people on here last portal cycle talking about Boswell.

Blind faith is a risky path, my brother.

Yet I want Coach Underwood to remain as OUR head coach until he retires. I want him to suceed. I want his dudes to win, to earn a place in professional basketball.

But come on now, man. Blind faith ain't the way.

Support, discuss, express your concerns and be someone who adds to the community.

(My god, am I a curmudgeon? Or just someone who loves the basketball program, the community, Illinois Loyalty, and the state. I hope I am not a curmudgeon.)

Disagreeing with the status quo is hate. Got it.
suppose it's just a coincidence that bquill and patty opened their accounts within a week of each other in October 2022? These are the type of posters that ruin Illini Inquirer.

silly me for thinking a commitment from a really good point guard from Arizona who so happens to be from Champaign would break up the monotony of this board. silly me.
Good grief, the lead is flying hot I guess. Are people questioning the recruitment of Boswell? I mean, this kid is someone that 99.5% (tee hee, how precise can I be?) of D1 programs would KILL for.

I am super-excited we got this young man. Wish we got him straight out of HS, but straight outta Compton ... uh, Tucson ... is the VERY NEXT BEST THING.

I'll ride with Boswell. (I'd also be on his a** in the gym and weight room and class room like a croc on a side of water buffalo cause HE CAN DO MORE if I had the privilege of coaching at a program like ours).

It's awesome that a huge commitment and discussion of possibly more impending transfers has been derailed for a huge portion of this thread.

Is there ANY chance to get this back on track? Can we quit rehashing the trolls' posts and shaming posters on this board already? Please for the love of all that's holy.

Ugh. This ain't the way, brother. Ignore those who trespass .... and they will go away. :)

Honestly, I mostly skip comments unless they’re from @LvilleILL, @Indy Illini Fan, or @illini0440. I don’t even know where the issue originated, but it’s pretty sad if we can’t protect this space. It’s not worth it at the cost of losing access to insider information.
You are really, really doing yourself a disservice if you don't take a sec and enjoy some of Prus mind bending posts.

I want to also note: the people that provide inside information here are being incredibly generous. A bit brave too.

Questioning their credentials or status is completely counter-productive. Read, think, and evaluate: the handful of folks that are feeding info to us are really doing the work of the patron saints of the Orange & Blue.

I am really grateful.
