I still think Brad is running a “Development Program “. We take mid-major stars and develop them to make it to the next level. You don’t think we developed a more talented Ayo,Kofi, Frazier, Domask, Hawkins and TSJ?

Now this new class of talent that wasn’t being properly developed and physically perfected will make leaps in growth here. I’m sure we’ll be impressed with several of these new additions and the improved performance from their last stop.

We’re getting a reputation for development, one way or the other. It just isn’t the old fashioned four year method most were accustomed to.

I was going to make a post similar to this. Development simply means the players are better than they were when they got here, regardless of how long they spend here. There’s also different breakdowns of what better means. We improve specific skills of theirs, they get fletched, we use them differently than they were used at their previous school and they are more productive for it, etc.

The other thing I see people saying a lot is that it’s unsustainable to turn over half your roster every year. As high school coaches, we do it every year, without the ability to hand pick our 5-6 favorites out of the 1000 or so legitimate options. If we can choose 5-6 out of the 30 kids who live within our attendance zone, I trust the people who make millions of dollars to do it at a significantly higher level can do it just fine.

Anyone know anything about Carlton Linguard Jr?

At a brief glance, he looked kind of interesting to me as a plan B if we can't get Onyenso. Linguard seems to be more of a shooting threat, but probably less athletic and less of a shot blocker? (Linguard actually seems to be decent as a rim protector, but Onyenso looks to just be on another level there)

Well every high school is going to do the same. The sample size right now is too small to really know the effects of these transfers and massive roster turnover. We know Kentucky greatly underperformed following the first four or five years of Cal's method.

We have one great year and one underperform year.

Views may differ because people's definition of success may differ.

Still lots of time to fill roster and lots of time to mold it.

Just saw Johnell Davis didn't make it past admissions at Michigan. Not sure if that had been mentioned here or not.
He was never expected to - he has like 12 credits until graduation and 1 season of eligibility - real schools arent going to let him anywhere - he needs to graduate from FAU first

Question is he willing to play defense is what I though someone mentioned on this site. Not sure if BU is interested.

Now with OA cooking, can we get a seven foot center to come on board ASAP? I feel that was the missing piece from last year’s special team, especially to counter Clingan and Edey.
last year's "We need a traditional point guard" talk is this year's "We need a 7-footer" talk. Next year it will be "we need........?"
