My take is next year will be somewhat down as all transfers at this point have multiple years of eligibility remaining. 26-27 is the year for a natty run. Depending on development no big holes to fill, just a little tweaking. A rim protector add and this team will compete but with more balance without a TSJ or a Marcus.
I called Domask's car last week. This is my moment to feel like an insider!

when are we gonna have any clarity on domask. longer it plays out the worst for us.
I like him and think he would be a good add but that's an awful generous comparison.
I don't think he's as good of a ball handler or have as quick of a first step as Domask. He also doesn't have the footwork or post moves of Domask.
He isnt nearly as explosive as Knecht who was actually pretty bouncy and quick in a straight line or at least a lot more than you would expect.
He's a better shooter than Domask and his shot looks a lot like Knechts and I think pretty much any program would benefit from adding a 6'8 shooter.
Think Cade Tyson is more a Domask/Knecht hybrid if you're looking at Valley transfers.

Is Hunter considered a top guard? There is a reason he is transferring down from Texas. He had a good freshman year but hasn't been as good since and never really developed at Texas like people thought he would.
Don't think anyone thinks Jones is a done deal but Illinois has money and connections with Anderson recruiting him to DePaul and Antigua being Dominican and formerly coaching the Dominican national team.

Any SIU-Edwardsville fans on here? Oregon State just picked up Damarco Minor from there and wondering if anyone has a scouting report. Kid averaged 8.5 rpg this year with 10 or 11 games with double figure boards — even though listed at 6-0, 190. Not much of a shooter though it doesn’t seem. Thanks in advance

not that the transfer portal rankings are terribly good, but that is #59, #152, #155, #196, #252, and #335. This is not exactly lighting the world on fire.
What the he---l---l is going on with everybody leaving? They go after these guys and talk them up., they never see court than leave! This is not a reload it is a complete rebuild!

Very nice stroke from outside, not easy to block and nice touch on shots close to the basket much like Domask. Don't remember seeing him back people down as much as Domask, but that wasn't my favorite part of Domask's game - Domask seemed to do that mostly when our O was stagnant and he had no other choice.
Goode would get more minutes at Illinois than Indiana. He’s likely their 8th or 9th man maybe 10th if they get another portal guy… they have a top 20 McDonalds All American coming off the bench for crying out loud

It's a whirling mess. Staff battling, insiders leaking, no one really knows. I trust no one at all, ever, but I wish OUR staff, OUR roster, OUR AD godspeed. Hm.. that seems sort of medieval.
Yeah...definitely see him being as good as the guy who finished 2nd in AP Player of the Year vote and a First Team All-Big Ten guy. Seems like a reasonable thing.
Just messing. I know you're comparing the way he plays to those guys not necessarily his skill level but when I first read it I thought.....
