We don't know what sacrifices Coleman was asked to make by the coaches. He could have done more, but that wasn't his role.
Coleman was at his worst when he tried to do too much on O.

He was played out of position on D.

He was the third best player on E8 team. Theres been plenty of dudes with that profile that have developed into long term pros. If his shooting holds he could definitely do the same.

I'm disappointed that Hawkins lied to us. He said that he was done with college. That means the pros or North Carolina, right?

;)

ESPN is pathetic. Between the lack of TSJ coverage (barely covered, then buried within 24 hours) and the Will Riley recruiting page updated THIS WEEK that doesn’t even list Illinois as a finalist, I finally cancelled my membership after 10+ yrs. Honestly, I have no idea what took me so long.

BTW, every recruiting page has a different height listed for Riley. I’ve seen 6’5”- 6’10” 🤷‍♂️

When there are a range of heights for a player, it's usually a safe bet to go with the lower one. Listed/claimed heights in H.S. and college ball are very often embellished. That said I think Riley may be the exception and actually towards the upper end of that range. This is based on the unscientific look test and based on seeing him standing next to others.

If it's signed, sealed, and delivered, it's not going to be easy to keep up the illusion of drama for another 9 days.
Do not underestimate the power of this board. Jk

Glad you finally got there. I'm 42 and was all ESPN from about 7 to 34. Then some things came to light. They are awful. I could write a very long post but hopefully most people understand where I'm coming from. Love what Brad has done with the program. We really made a solid choice hiring him. Enjoy this reign and hopefully it lasts for some time.

Reasonable to take 2" off...

Some things came to light like they have no money anymore and like 8 people work there now?

Getting mad at ESPN is the most Boomer thing imaginable

It's weird and you'll see guys get bumped anywhere from a half inch up to even 2.5 inches over their barefoot height(done at the combine)

For example, Jalen Wilson was listed at 6'5.75 but was listed at 6'8 in college. Coleman Hawkins was listed at 6'10 but measured 6'8.5, while TSJ was listed at 6'6 and measured in at 6'5.5.

Then you have Marcus Domask who was listed at 6'6 and wasn't invited to the combine to measure but looked a bit taller than TSJ to me. Which is why I think multiple announcers mentioned being surprised that Domask was big in person like legitimately 6'6 when a lot of guys listed at that height in college are actually in the 6'4 range.

I need to ask, how good is the headline 'Terrance Shannon exonerated of a rape charge' good for anyone?

You couldn't blame news sites for reporting the sensational claims, but do you really think it behooves anyone to cont. talking about it? It was gross and awful for everyone involved.

Sleepers was cool about it, but most national opinion writers will move on b/c it literally only matters to us. Now that he's voted not guilty no one cares that an IL dude lost his jersey in the rafters. TBH that's on us pressuring Josh to make an exception.

Yes, I do believe it behooves them to discuss this case further, particularly how accusations like this should be handled in the future. They did not just print the accusations, certain media voices and outlets were extremely biased and unfair to Terrence. They treated him as guilty without knowing a single fact about the case and he was clearly passed over as an all American because of it.

It’s kind of gross that you seem ok with it being swept under the rug.
