Branham just may be correct...not a single person knows. He certainly does not appear to be B1G ready to bang inside....yet. But he certainly does have elite talent that he needs some time to learn how to use at a higher level than he has experienced. It is just a step and every kid has to take it....but it is seldom done without some growing pains...and seldom soon enough for fans.
I had similar thoughts about Riley, but Indy Illini Fan said that Riley is going to start so that is good enough for me (pandering much?).

Indy's post #301 in the previous recruiting thread:

Just to settle the debates …

Starters:
Boswell
KJ/Ty
Riley
Humrichous
Ivisic

Bench:
Ty/KJ
Tre
Rez
DGL
Booth
Davis?

Redshirt:
Jakstys and I could potentially see Davis redshirting as well ...

I don't hate ESPN because they manipulate anything.

I hate ESPN because their programming is garbage. I grew up with baseball tonight, PTI, around the horn, and sports center actually showing highlight.

Maybe they had to pivot because highlights became so easily available online and our society has headed in a different direction but they used to at least try to cover sports topics in the past where they are now basically sports TMZ.

Their coverage of baseball and hockey is atrocious. The NBA is basically just clickbatey melodrama.
How the heck do you guys keep up with all this generation identity crap?? How many different generation "classes" are there now? It's getting just as bad as genders.😆😆 I guess the thing now is to put everyone in their own little category box so we can attack them whenever it seems necessary. Off the cliff we go..... Oh man, that is such boomer talk
They got too political also...

Regarding Tomislav, what does an admissions process like his typically involve? Are we talking endless paperwork, producing transcripts, Ivisic having to appear before the NCAA Clearinghouse, Illinois having to argue he should be eligible to play college basketball despite having played professionally? All of the above?

How complicated is this process? How/why does he differ from Kasparas? Thanks in advance. I’m sure there are many layers to this… :)

I respect Indy. He and louisville and possibly a few others I trust. He's the man but If you watched the last Inquirer podcast, they were pretty sold on Riley as a possible all freshman Big Ten team candidate. Their thinking was that he would wind up somewhere between 7-13 points and 3-4 rebounds or so. The middle ground for him was somewhere around 10-11 points. Double figures. They also were under the opinion that he could start but he may also be coming off of the bench to start the season. That is great for a freshman coming into a league with grown men. One thing we can say for sure. He makes this team deeper with a guy that can score on all three levels. We will have to see how far his strength will take him. He is most likely a one and done but you never know.

It is my understanding that he will be on campus in August.

Honestly we really won't know until we see. Have seen plenty of 5 star recruits not make an impact immediately(especially guys reclassing).

Obviously hope he ends up being a freshman Kevin Durant type who also looked like he would've blown away in a stiff breeze and was the nPOY. However it wouldn't necessarily be the biggest surprise if he took some time to acclimate.

Feel like we may be setting ourselves up for disappointment if we're expecting him to immediately step in and score like Shannon or Domask.
I agree with you that nobody has seen him play in college yet, so the jury is still out. (No connection to recent events). However….if he was going to Kentucky, Duke, UNC, or Kansas would people question if he was college ready? Dude isn’t coming to sit on the bench.

We needed an Alpha - scoring wing. Box checked. Yes, he needs to get Fletched, and I think he will improve as the year progresses. But, at this point, I think that he will be able to hold his own at least as well as Bello did as a freshman, and he was pretty good.

Keep in mind that this team is not likely to be a threat to win any hardware or make any headlines....out of the gate. There is a huge mountain to climb in order to be an efficient team. Fortunately, BU has the track record of motivating kids in that direction. What is going to be a huge factor is their willingness and adaptability to let go of the me and put we at the forefront. That takes time....for every one of these kids. Ty may be the only one who grasps that firmly....and maybe he needs to lean the other way a bit....but not much as we all love that kid and all his intangibles.
Well said! I agree with your points, and we shall see how steep the learning curve is. Hopefully, for all involved, it occurs very quickly.

Found this interesting, however, I would have had Bruce Pearl #1.

Other than the Devil himself and Samscum, the only one that really stuck out was Pitino. "This incident got even uglier as Sypher accused Pitino of raping her and stated that Pitino only lasted 15 seconds."

He seems very serious...I have yet to see a picture of him smiling...

I know one thing for sure…. Dude can flat out SHOOT! You can never have too much of that. I LOVE the fact that we have a cadre of guys who can shoot 38+% from deep. I expect him to do FAR more than this, but being able to make open shots is a really good start and he can do that. I expect him to average 9-10 points a game or thereabouts and hit a couple treys a game. I would be fine with that. A total guess, obviously, on my part.

This is so overdone at this point. Literally nobody said that.

Also, I’ve seen you be critical of Brad. Does Brad not know what he’s doing??? Or he does, but only you are allowed to question and talk about things on a message board? Is that how this works??? GMAFB.
