It is. But then again, an NLI these days doesn't mean much. Jase Butler signed with us and subsequently asked for and received his release.
They don't even sign a NLI anymore.

Seeing tweet about Mikey Lewis and now this mention got me wondering how Jase was making out in Washington. Bit of a strange season for him so far. Didn’t play in opener, had his most action so far against a good Nevada team (19 mins, 8 pts) then 13 and 6, and 8 and 0. Maybe he’s dealing with injury or someone else is working their way back from injury.

As to Lee, not worried because of reason stated. Not a bad thing from his perspective to keep his options open. Team makeup can change so quickly with portal. Looks like a good get, so I hope we keep him. But if not, on to the next option.

I did a search for Jase Butler injury and got an AI answer that seems eerily familiar.

AI: There is no specific information confirming that Jase Butler is currently injured, but he has had a strange season so far, including not playing in the opener and varying performance in games, which may suggest he could be dealing with an issue.
