My uneducated guess: Tyler likes him. They can talk X's and O's and analytics as much as they want. Thus, Brad tolerates him. (Of course there are other reasons).
I can’t imagine Tyler has so much sway that Hamer is on staff because he’s buddies with him.
Occam’s Razor applied here: Hamer is a good basketball mind/coach. The real question is if he’s good enough to be in the position he is. Sounds like BU has given him the chance to nut up or shut up and he is not excelling.

Kinda seems like we'd have one of our "A" recruiters on Davion Thompson if we really wanted him that badly, so I'm guessing they're not as high on him as some other schools are.
Sorry, but don't think I can take a list that has Kon Kneuppel at 2 and Dylan Harper at 8 seriously. Kneuppel is good but Harper is averaging almost 9 more points a game with a higher FG% and higher 3PT%, more assists, and more rebounds. Glad to see Rez getting some love though, because he has been very impressive as a Freshman.
Edit: I'll also note that Miya'smetrics have Riley has a better defender than KB, and Booth as a better player overall than DGL and Jake Davis. Color me skeptical on his methodology.

But with TA late departure … Geoff & O are the only real recruiters we’ve got besides Brad …

Ahhhh…gotcha. That makes sense and I do 100% agree with that. I knew last year you weren’t happy he was the D-coordinator so that’s where my mind went.

I mean it’s no secret I wasn’t pleased with our team or scheme defensively last year … You’re right … Hamer also rubs a lot of people the wrong way sometimes … That’s what other coaches tell me …
And let me tell you the off season with this current team was BRUTAL defensively … Brad didn’t hide it either …
Brad has had more of an influence on that end this year and Hamers made some adjustments and we’ve gotten better … Credit where it’s due …
