Me likey - would be awesome if this comes to pass.I know this has been debated previously, but let me update with a new guess:
Ivisic - Returns and works his way into a Top 15 NBA draftee in 2026
Morrez - Returns and becomes 1st Team All Big10 (I hear, however, he may be a malcontent)
KJ - Top 5 NBA lottery pic in 2025
Ben H - out of eligibility
Boswell - Returns to run the 2026 team as a Senior leader
Booth - Transfers
J. Davis - Returns as 6th man and gets 20 minutes per game
Will Riley - Returns and averages 22 PPG. Becomes a Top 4 NBA lottery pick
DGL - I hope he returns, but I'm skeptical. Just don't think he's getting enough PT for his liking.
Jakstys - Transfers to ISU, maybe? I'm thinking he may have been overwhelmed in practices this season, playing against Morrez and TI.
Rodgers - Delivers on his promise, and transfers
Tre White - Returns. Thoroughly enjoying his most successful stint across 3 schools in 3 years.
Six returnees per season seems about right if we can accomplish it.
Webster Grives also has 6'5" freshman Miles Simpson starting on their team. Comes from a great Basketball family, great young man. He's rated as one of the top 20 freshman in the country.
So is there any possibility that Nick played professional basketball in Italy or was in Italy around 2007I can't stop seeing Nick Smith when I look at this guy.
Am I really the only one? Maybe I have Nick Smith Syndrome.. I'll call my PCM in the morning
Clicked on the pic and went to X to see the full version, but it's almost funnier with his upper torso cropped out
When will we get or first true 8-footer? SmhSwear Luigi looks 7’4” even with the angle AND he’s not a toothpick AND skills! smh

Robert Wadlow - Alton, IllWhen will we get or first true 8-footer? Smh
If Rez leaves I am getting in the portal with him/s.They got that info from an insider earlier in the season. I think Mo will be back though
In this day and age it seems most if it is about the $$$. I wonder if they tell them not to discuss these things with each other! Good luck with that!If Rez leaves I am getting in the portal with him/s.
I heard he's up to 6'6". I live in WG and was told that he's projected to get up to 6'8", 6'9" maybe 6'10" .....with guard skills and shooting too boot.Webster Grives also has 6'5" freshman Miles Simpson starting on their team. Comes from a great Basketball family, great young man. He's rated as one of the top 20 freshman in the country.
Unfortunately also long since dead. RIPRobert Wadlow - Alton, Ill

It sounds like he's being viewed as a '26 prospect by everyone, so it's likely a graduation timeline thing - but I think it's a good idea for someone like him to play a year at a top prep school to get acclimated to the U.S. game and play against competition for a full season. I think he would improve more than redshirting and not getting to play in real games for a year.Does he need to go to a prep school for academic/admittance issues or can we just get him into the program and redshirt him for a year so he can start working with Fletch and Antigua immediately?
The frame looks bigger than I initially thought but he still needs to add a lot of functional weight but that length would immediately have a role as a rim protector even if he can do nothing else..
If Rez leaves we riot!If Rez leaves I am getting in the portal with him/s.
I think Ben has another year of eligibility because he played at Huntington College for 3 years.Morez malcontent - huh?
Scary that if you look at the calendar, it would have been feasible if he did play overseas. I was curious to see if he did, but he did not play anywhere after college. If I recall, he was actually very intelligent and got multiple degrees in 4 years at Illinois. So is there any possibility that Nick played professional basketball in Italy or was in Italy around 2007
There is a pretty good argument he has two more years of eligibility, since this year is only his second year of NCAA ball. I'd like to argue that he is even eligible for a bonus COVID year on top of those two years, but I am not smart enough to figure out just how to manage that one. Has anyone ever earned a PhD whilst playing varsity ball for the Illini?I think Ben has another year of eligibility because he played at Huntington College for 3 years.
That is one big boy! Can he jump??Goodness, I want Geoff's hoodie.
Does he need to?That is one big boy! Can he jump??![]()
