That is my concern as well. You get taken to the woodshed for the third straight game, I do not think we need to hear if you made a few more 3's, the game would be competitive going into the half. It is not as if tonight's 3 point shooting was an anomaly, which would make the statement more reasonable.

It almost feels as though Brad is at a loss, and that is concerning to me. I hope he can turn it around this offseason, but performances like the last 3 games are sure to get the notice of donors.
What is said at the presser is not said behind closed doors. He's aware things need to change and is going to do what it takes to get some of that to happen

Retain at least 4-5 of the core and replace Tyler and Hamer with elite Xs and Os assistant coaches and these kids will have their mind blown for the off season. It will feel like night and day for them.

Lacking the athletic part but I thought early season Kasparis played with that attitude. Seems like he's hesitant and playing with questionable confidence at this point.

The lack of athleticism is very apparent all over the roster especially on the perimeter. DGL is the only guy that i would say is a plus athlete but he's also only 6 ft tall.

Yes I think that’s a fair point. Brad talks a lot about winning when shots aren’t falling, and you need some athletes/dogs to defend and get to the rim in games like that. (So basically every game)

BUT, have we been good under Brad without at least 1 all-American level superstar doing a lot of the heavy lifting? If Brad’s primary strength these days is recruiting, then figuring out a way to land a guy like that is what I’m hoping for.

Now? When did it become obvious to them? Only after the worst loss in program history? Honestly, I'm not convinced they even get it now with the Beckman-like "what ifs" after the game.
We keep getting the same old spills after every loss…am beginning to think it’s true that you can’t teach a old dog new tricks, kinda stubborn and set in his ways.

I’m no insider, so maybe I’m completely wrong. But it certainly seems like he wasn’t happy with the role/minutes he seemed to be in line for and rather than compete to grow his role he decided to collect NIL and save a year of eligibility. I’ve said before that I don’t blame him as he has to do what he thinks is best for him. But I have to think DGL wasn’t happy with the role laid out for him either and he kept competing. Now he might have had a slightly clearer path to consistent minutes than Ty initially (roster construction and he can shoot), but you can’t tell me Ty’s role wouldn’t have grown as season has gone on. Unfortunately, we’ll never know. But when I see people on here and Twitter still praising his toughness and calling him an every day guy, all I know is doesn’t seem like his decision shows a lot of toughness and he’s obviously not an every year guy.

This defense is so bad that it keeps mediocre teams with a chance against Illinois. I wouldn't be surprised if Iowa beat them in Champaign.

With a sold defense, the losses against NU, Nebraska, USC and RU do not occur. I can accept the Maryland loss, but those four losses shouldn't have happened.

Well the original comment I replied to mentioned taking Booth out of the rotation. So it was just a side comment. Not about minutes but aboit roster makup I guess.

Gotcha. What also hurts is that Kylan has been a bust.

Kj, Tomi, morez,Riley, Ty,Luke, DGL, Jake would’ve been a solid rotation just need a pg.

Need another depth big guy I think. I remember at the EIU game when Tomi went down, I thought there’s no way we can lose him. Gotta have more then 2 legit big men that can get some minutes.

We only have 2 legit bigs this year. You could fill the roster out with depth guys and development players

He may be aware things need to change, but what in the last few weeks leads you to believe they will? It's not like this is a new problem, this has been going on since our close win at Washington.
