Of course. It matters every year.This year they’ve both excelled. In recent years, both programs have lost to 13, 14, 15 and 16 seeds. Did it matter what they did with what they got those years?

Literally the only person who could connect dots like that is someone actively looking for them. It’s freaking ridiculous. Gentry and Goode and Podz all left too.
When the coach and program are funded like a top-15 program, we should be expecting these results, plus more. I also think the portal era almost needs to be looked at apart from his earlier success. The TSJ E8 run is sandwiched around some pretty questionable evals and roster construction. This season will be fairly telling how we move forward.
There is also the very real possibility that programs who lean into the portal approach are going to be much more boom/bust from year to year in general.
Last year the player that got a long leesh was Justin Harmon. Brad is just a horrible lineup manager and seems to get emotionally invested? I have no other way to put it? One of the worst on the high D 1 level. He started Ben H over Will, White or Morez. Last year he should have started Dain and moved Coleman to the 5.

If the relationship with players got toxic enough for it to impact our ability to retain players, then he could be an offensive wunderkind and still need to see the exit. He's not and it did and he should.Why does firing someone have nothing to do with their performance?

I don’t love that Ben seems likely to come back. But if he’s coming back, then I hope there’s a serious discussion about his role and the price we are paying….I'll be blown away if Ben isn't back. Sorry no down vote button on this site.
