Agree. He looked completely checked out. His defense for the 1 minute he played was awful. No fire
I find it a bit amusing that for all the talk on here during this last offseason about the importance of Ty and DGL as every day guys that DGL looks checked out and has bad body language at end of season. At least he actually played unlike Ty.

He’s not officially in the portal …
Please correct me if this scuttlebutt is incorrect, but I've heard that this past year for Booth was legitimately a development year and he knew this to be the case going on, which is also a reason he never really even got in the game in garbage time. Saved his redshirt?

That could be complete nonsense, but the theory doesn't seem like it's THAT far out of the realm of possibility??? I mean, he didn't play at all. What would his transfer options be?

Not the guy you wanted a response from, but I think DGL is expendable. Two freshmen guards coming in, let’s give them a look. Not trying to be a DGL hater, I think he could do very well as a high usage guy, that’s not happening here. Honestly wish him the best no matter his choice.

Davis seems like a great bench guy, not sure he’s willing to take on that role again but I could see him sticking around another year.

Frankly, give me a star PG, knock down three pt specialist, and a backup big man and call it a

Who and what are you saying no to? McKneely or Smith? Just asking as you responded to Malachi Smith post with screenshot of McKneely stats.

Anyway, did you see the 3pt percentages next to the numbers you circled? He's 6-4 and a 42% career 3pt shooter on volume and is a ballhandler... he might be my favorite potential xfer that has been posted so far. Also a 81% FT shooter.

It would be a massive get to land McKneely. I'm skeptical it'll happen, but I'm a 40+ year Illini fan. I'm scarred. :p

I must have missed the news, I thought Tre was dealing with norovirus during his absence?
There were a number of posts from insiders that described Tre as being in Underwood's doghouse, for some sort of, I believe, verbal disagreement in practice. Tre had indeed been sick with the flu, but had recovered.

So my point was that it seems like Tre is showing real character growth, the kind that will help him overcome other sorts of adversity -- during games, importantly. That is appealing.

Mckneely from UVA seems to like Louisville, Kentucky and UNC. Hopefully Illinois is there in the mix too since we offered him in high school.

I like DGL, but I don't know if he will ever get the role at Illinois that he wants. He could do very well for himself taking a step down to a mid-major, ala Podz.
Podz did not need to go to a Mid-major to play. He could have played anywhere. Brad totally blew it by not playing him a lot for Illinois. He was drafted in the first round of the NBA draft and is a good player now for Golden State. Total whiff by Brad on him.
