Podz is a legend and will be reveared at Illinois. He will join Alex Legion, Austin Hutcherson and Festus Hawkins as all time Illini Mysteries.

Maybe all of the work with Trent his freshman paid off.
Remember when people were talking about seeing Hutcherson leave 4 quarters for a dollar bill he'd snatch off the top of a backboard?

Now he's an analyst for Rockefellar after that U of I graduate degree.

Oh ok I got ya now.. yeah he's not exactly my fave either, although the percentages look ok to me, he is also small (only 6 foot)
I wouldn’t be that concerned about his shooting. Kids a lifetime 39% 3-pt shooter.

Played against P5 teams 6 times this season and averaged 12.7 ppg and 6 apg in those matchups. He had 22 and 9 against Iowa St, 6 and 11 against Marquette and 13 and 6 against Cincinnati. Plus I don’t think he’d be expected to score that much at Illinois. My concerns are his size as you pointed out and turnovers. Averaged 3.3 in those 6 games with 6 against Cincy, and 4 against UConn and Northwestern. Though he did only have 1 against Marquette.

He’s from Bronx, so an OA connection?

Any truth to the rumor Brock Harding got offered 1 mil from TCU?

Surely OA has some connections with Florida territory

Do you have proof of this? Why are you posting statements like this?

Stop. Nobody batted an eye when he left. There weren't a ton of high majors chasing after him, so clearly he wasn't highly coveted, which means 99% of college coaches whiffed on him. He got into the right situation for him and he flourished in it. End of story. The revisionist history is ridiculous.
One can take exception to 'Brad blew it', or 'total whiff' as hyperbole. I'm fine with that. But there were some eyes batted (I own two of them) and '99% of coaches whiffed' specifically because Brad had determined Podz as not worth playing. Right or wrong, I don't know - that was back when we played defense, and defense was not Podz's strength.

But I was very excited when we got a Wisconsin Mr. Basketball, and very much taken aback when he left. No need to swing the revisionist pendulum all the way to the other side.

I know we need another ball handler next to Kylan since we're losing KJ and Will, but can he please be a tall guard? The kid from Dayton is good PG, but I dont want to have a repeat of the year where we had Trent and Plummer and Belo all starting and teams with big athletic guards just absolutely tore us apart.
