Not everyone wants Dix. But, if you can insert Dix into the perfect spot, everyone will benefit. I wouldn't get tired of watching that.

I love Morez as a freshmen but he has to develop an outside shot- at least to 15 feet, even in this age of emphasis on the 3 point shot, or else he's gonna be very much like a bigger version of Ty. Most good 4's can at least score some from beyond 7 feet from the basket. Otherwise, we are playing 4 on 5 on offense.Sure it might detract a bit from his offensive rebounding opportunities but I think being a scoring threat from other than near the rim would more than make up for that with opening up the offense more for others. And the professional ranks aren't gonna be interested in him either unless he can add some offensive versatility to his game.

I don't think he has to. He can have a good impact great at one thing like Rebounding especailly on offense, put backs, drawing fouls and be solid on D at his spot if surrounded by guys that jack up a lot of threes. Having a elite rebounder it's an important role. Ty was an ok rebounder and more of a 3. Ty was not close to Rez on the glass, few are. It would be great if he did get a solid mid range game, improve ball handing and be a version of Karl Malone in Illini Orange! That would be amazing, even better and even better than now but he can have a major impact as an Illini just like he is. That is what's so awesome because he works hard and will get better. Gonna be great to see if he can reach his ceiling here in CU!

It probably goes without saying but to support what others have been saying about "get old, stay old"; I would also complement this to a degree with "if you've got talent, maintain it".

If you look at the remaining 16 teams alive in CBB, their D-1 experience is above the D-1 average in all but 2 cases, and as a collective average of the 16 teams, their average D-1 experience is higher than the average by nearly a season. Average continuity (returning minutes vs. last year) for the Sweet 16 is 4% above average, and 8% above average if you remove significant outliers in Arkansas & Kentucky.

To raise next year's team's floor, you really want to be at least at D-1 Average in experience (taking overseas experience as an astricks) paired with exceptional expereince, like you see in the case of Purdue & MSU.

I have heard that, while the NBA may be the favorite as of right now, we have put together a very BIG NIL package for Will to come back next year. Comparable to what he would likely receive next year in the NBA.

Troubling news though is that we will have competition willing to throw insane money at him to transfer, including one program that has been printing money for NIL the past few years... and another B1G program with perhaps a new commitment to spend in NIL....

But back on the positive side of things, it sounds like his camp has been very happy in Champaign so far. So hopefully we aren't looking at a situation where he will simply leave for the highest bidder.

Once again, I won't argue that it's likely for Riley to play college basketball next year. Just saying that if he does, we may have some competition despite our huge offer for him.

Sarr is what the team really missed this year. High level defensive player, super athletic, and lethal in transition. Would be a great fit.
If only we had a coach that could teach defense!!!

Love Will, but his NIL package would have to be north of $5M. Don't see that happening. Not sure it’s a wise investment.
