With the cap being 20 mils for every team, I think most allocations will be 14 for football,5 for basketball, and 1 for all other sports. Just going by the amount of spots, I can’t imagine it being skewed more in basketball’s favor.

Anyone claiming higher numbers is speculation on NIL amounts outside of Rev Share which is completely unregulated anyway
Ah, the $20 million cap! Probably $5 million allocated for basketball? The cheaters...Kansas, Kentucky, Duke, Arkansas, et al... can go back and re-start (additional) under-the-table payments to recruits, above and beyond that $5 million dollar figure.

Yep back to business as usual

And he went on to have one forgettable season coming off the bench at Kansas.
I always think of how the universe always seems to balance itself out with Cliff being stuck in basketball purgatory for years. I mean, the guy plays in Venezuela right now. Venezuela. They're in South America, and they don't even have good soccer there. Basketball must be putrid.

Spot on. It’s soooo much bigger than people think. And you’re kidding yourselves if you think it’s limited to millions.

Eh... the planned maximum $20.5 million revenue sharing per school does not ban NIL collectives, right? I can't find anything anywhere saying that third-party NIL collectives will be forbidden. No need to do under-the-table anything.

I think the NCAA wants to act tough about enforcing "true NIL value" but they're going to have lawsuits all over the place the minute they try to enforce anything. It really seems like they are just wanting a salary cap, hoping to avoid collective bargaining, and still hoping that Congress will bail them out with an antitrust exception.

A “disappointing” season and 2 starters immediately sign up for more. Perhaps rumors of Brad Underwood’s falling status with players were a bit off.
It's been well established that most players love Underwood. A majority of the ones that don't and transfer somewhere else usually don't do anything special at their next stops

As long as we keep Tomi, Morez, and Kylan minimum, we will be okay. Good players are going to want to take our money and play with these guys. We are just scratching the surface of what these guys can do together.

Morez is a true freshman who is already yolked like a junior. Wait and see what Fletch does for him this summer…

Tomi barely had any time here in the offseason. I expect him to get stronger too. No questions on when will he get into the country, or when/if he will be eligible…

Kylan just started looking comfortable… There won’t be any question on who the leader is next year. Senior year. Gotta put it all out there. I think he’s ready to take over that locker room.

If Tre stays, you have another senior who has played a whole lot of college basketball. It’s an “all-in” year for him too. He needs to hang onto that spark he had at the end of the year. There is better basketball in that dude.

We will be better just by hanging on to the best guys we have, and I have every confidence in the world that the rest of the roster is going to be pretty darn good, regardless of the day to day portal drama.
My perspective on this off-season entirely. If Will and Tre returned, I would be over the moon. But we're going to be better than OK.

Does Mack Sutter play basketball?

Hawaii Just Asking GIF by ION
His older sister Elle Sutter was an All-American soccer player and an All-conference basketball player at North Central College.

Maybe he would be interested in being a two-sport athlete as well at a bigger in-state school?

To second this, Illinois is still in a great spot for Dame Sarr. Think he ends up here still as of now.
Can we please get Donavan Dent from New Mexico lobos? 22pts. 6.5 assist per game, him and BAM in back court would be monstrous.
