We're assuming that the Johnsons in this case are reliable narrators. I think there may be some truth to him wanting to develop different skills, but I think the crux of the issue is that we didn't play ball with TA (I'm not super bothered by that if it was just money at fault because you don't let an employee put you over a barrel like that; if some of it was Tyler/Hamer, too, that's the first red flag on them) and played Ben over him (that ish irritates me, but I'm not on the bench to plead my case). I think Morez was looking for a reason to go and the development angle (and the bag of cash) was his justified reasoning on the way out the door.
I'm more bothered by Tre. Dude came off the floor in the last game saying he wanted to run it back in orange and blue. If you read between the lines on our insider posts, it's been said that it's due to issues other than money. The other obvious issue at play with our team is coaching, namely that two guys were promoted when they perhaps shouldn't have been.
I think BU needs to take a close look at his staff and how they interact with players. He needs to take some blinders off and realize that if his coaches won't make the corrections he wants, those aren't guys who should be on his staff (even if they share DNA).
