Whatever you want to say about Kedric, the guy is one of the biggest homers on the Illini social media. If he’s willing to put his name and verify what Morez SR said, it’s the truth. Period. Bc there’s no way he’d want to put that out there if it wasn’t 100% truth

I expect Bam, Ben, and Jakstys back … I think Tomi declares for the draft …
We better come up huge in the portal/recruiting if Tomi stays in the draft. That is basically one returning player that will contribute. BAM is better than DGL, but it will be close to a repeat of last year.

I want Tomi back so so badly, and will be so bummed if he doesn't run it back.

But weren't people just a few hours ago blaming Brad for not preparing kids for the NBA? Now we're going to blame him for improving Tomi's draft stock to the extent that he goes pro?
I think the comment is targeted at only having 3 people return and one didn’t play last year and the other is someone that a lot of people don’t want to return.

Also, I would argue that Illinois just featured Tomi in the offense and allowed him to showcase his skills. Tomi was an already polished product.

Brandon Lee was at the Duke-Bama game tonight. Nothing to worry about right?
LOL! Can we get any good news here?

Oh No What GIF by Major League Soccer

I expect Tomi to declare for the draft but I also expect him to come back and get paid more in college than he’d get paid on a 2 way in the NBA

Brad should know his job may be on the line. Hopefully he delivers a top 15 roster with top 10 NIL money.

And like the recruiting rankings it usually doesn’t work out how they are ranked except for the top tier players coming out of HS.

Right, it's not an exact science (yet doesn't need to be in order to still be useful though)

Here’s what I’ll say … You don’t have to agree with my posts … You don’t have to like my posts … But I post the raw, unfiltered truth from multiple angles (donors, current players, former players, coaches, other coaches, agents, etc.) … Not through orange and blue glasses …

It may not always be the popular take or make people happy but it’s the truth in many cases or how I see it in others … And if that gets people fired up then so be it … 🤷🏻‍♂️

Personally - I think I give credit where it’s due and criticism where it’s fair … I support our programs and coaches until I am unable to stand behind them anymore and see changes that need to be made and I voice my opinion based around the facts I know and the information I’ve received …

As others have mentioned … The DMs not only this week but this past year for myself have been absolutely ridiculous and I can understand why many on here may decide to be done and take a break …
Don’t be fooled everyone. The people sending nasty DMs or posts are clearly Purdue and Michigan fans disguised as Illinois fans designed to divide everyone in here and cause panic.

Not likely, but he would still be valuable if he shot 40% or above which is possible if he stopped rushing his shots and moved in from firing away from 30 ft. He has a great stroke, but those two aspects of his play hurt his percentage. Also, he really did improve on defense and rebounding over the season, but effectively guarding quick guys on the perimeter will never happen. Good guy to have on the bench, but not for 30 min. per game.
I agree with this assessment

Could this be a problem? Wouldn't he be asking DGL how he feels?

I really liked his role during the latter quarter of the season. He seemed more settled in and definitely less rushed/pressured than earlier in the year. And was holding his own for the most part on the inside which was good to see. They definitely coached some toughness into him

Posted something like this days ago. What if the brothers want to play together and Arkansas offers a bigger bag?

Not if he is the second round. That's not where the moat money is in today's NIL. I mean Hawkins just made 2mil. He would've ha e made that bring selected in the second round. More and more guys are staying because college pays more than the G League and is a sure thing.

I would say

Podz and Dain have blossomed post illini
S.Clarke has made himself a valuable contributor

I have read about 2/3 of these 122 pages. I see the predicted list of returners doesn't include Jake. I know that he wasn't one of the top players, but he was an Illini, and would provide some continuity.

Anyway, he is now predicted to be gone?
