Brad did awful in the portal last year. The only valuable player was Boswell. HUGE misses on Booth, Jake and Ben.
???? He returned 0% of everything from 2023-2024 and put together a roster that made it to the second round of the tournament. It was the youngest team in college basketball.

Were you expecting him to put a Final Four team together from scratch on the heels of an Elite 8 team?

This portal/NIL ordeal is new to everyone. These coaches are flying by the seat of their pants because what's currently going on, across the country, is chaos and the NCAA is powerless to do anything about it.

The only coaches that aren't awful with the portal are the ones that return a nice portion of their roster, stay old and have the ability to stay out of the portal as much as possible.

Early hints looks like we have a nice squadron next season. This is the first offseason with Ganta as the GM. Will be interesting to see his roster building skills. The rumored pieces, if they fall in place, look great. I really want a serviceable 3rd big. I love TY, but I don’t want him guarding out of position all season.

Ty Rodgers.
He'll help significantly, but he is right. Our frontcourt last year was thin, at best.

If we're relying on Ty(6'6" max) as our paint menace, we've got problems. We need to add some(multiple) big, physical, willing to get angry bodies to fill a huge gap. If we could add a COUPLE of Dain-like bigs, along with what we seem to be on the cusp of adding..... we'll be ready to roll.

Especially because he's been training to handle Kylan, Will, and KJ during his redshirt season.

IIRC he's our PG, right?

Still feel like we need a true PG, but Boswell’s growth was impressive.

Boswell/Sellers/Dix/Ivisicx2/Ty/Sarr is a talented top 7. I actually don’t know why I’m not more impressed by it. I can’t put a finger on why I want more other than greed.

I am all for getting Josh Dix. Overall good player that can shoot it. If there's one thing Fran was good at at Iowa it was getting players that can shoot. 43 percent from 3 and considering how bad we were shooting the ball we need all the shooting we can it.

Speaking of a 4 … He’s an IKG and Brad really likes him …

He’d be a good pickup- Kentucky seems all over him. We need a physical presence down low and he’s partially that and is mobile. His passing and cutting are his best assets

Love the pieces we might get, but I don't feel like any of them are playmakers. Think we need a guy that can create his own shot. Am I wrong on this?

Whoa, you pop back in after a few days away and....geesh. Every month I understand the portal less and less. Surprised (pleasantly) to see Ty back, but I guess we should never be surprised about anything anymore when it comes to college hoops. Weird weird times!
