That just crap. TRE avg over 10 a game and won games for us. He was our best cutter and was solid. This expectation that transfer should all be TSJ or Domask is just unfair. You likely love having Ty and I do too but Tre is a better player. That's why Ty sat out dude and is likely back this year! Tre stays and Tys gone.
Tre was really solid most games. Brought a unique set of skills in one player.

Self absolutely positively looked and sounded checked out this season.

He's got a lot of reasons to keep doing it ($$) but he's a guy that's also been long set for life. It might not even motivate him. Very possible he's one of those coaches that became disenchanted with college basketball with NIL. It's a lot more work for these guys than it's ever been. In and out of season.
He could relax and do TV for as much, or more

He couldn't refuse their offer of an upgraded seat on the bench.

He shot 79% after a rough start to the year so not sure what your point is here.
If you say so. He has shot 52% (50/96) since he's been at Illinois including 41% over his last ten games.

It's got to anger the guys who paid players before it was legal. Self contemplating, "Remember when I could have a booster or shoe company to throw $100,000 at a kid and lock him up for 4 years. Good times! Everyone doing it is ruining the game."

Waiting for Sellers and Z announcements, could come at any point.

I'm going to be honest, it's gone quiet on all sides with the Dix recruitment. Credit to his camp, if there's anyone who knows what's up it is literally just the staff and they aren't leaking much. I have heard rumblings from donors, but nothing concrete. I think it's probably a 60-65% chance he ends up Illinois. Should know by the end of tomorrow!

Who are you talking about? The original poster was talking about Kylan Boswell who shot 79% from the free throw line last season.
My bad. I was looking at Ty. Need to stop jumping from thread to thread, I guess.

I'd pretty much eliminate the possibility of getting all of Sarr, Dix and Sellers. That allocation of resources wouldn't make any sense anyway.

The way the line has gone dead on Sarr tells the tale, I assume.

That PF is definitely the spot where there's still a need.

When I think about the attributes that would compliment the other guys on this hypothetical roster, what you want is basically exactly Quincy Guerrier.

Weirdest team ever. BU is obsessed with weird teams, no one loves tinkering with positional oddities more.

I think it makes perfect sense. Sar, Dix and Sellers all have 20-25 minutes of playing time available here. Ty as a 6 man, Biz Z, Davis, Jaykis (spelling) still looking for 2 more rotation pieces, maybe the freshman coming in can get 5-10 minutes a games.. Thats a rotation. With starts playing 25-30 minutes a game

Sweet. Is there any update on Sarr?

I've been critical of Underwood based on overall performance, staff and player retention, and our defensive scheming and in game adjustments. But I try to give credit when credit is due... Props to Underwood for mending the relationship with Ty- clearly he was able to remedy some of the issues and has built a strong enough relationship with him to retain Ty. From what I've heard (more info as to what led to Ty redshirting), it's really quite impressive that 1) Ty has the character to forgive and move on and stay loyal. 2) Underwood was able to re-recruit Ty and convince him.
I never heard that BU did something to Ty that needed to be forgiven. Seriously, what happened??

I agree I think they could exist in harmony but plan A straight-up never comes to fruition. It’s always some conglomerate of plans A, B, and C.

Aren't signed NIL deals a contract just like any business deal?
If so, how did Morez sign a deal and then renege and go elsewhere?
Are there "out causes" that are so broad that a kid can just skip out?

Are multi-year NIL contracts allowed, to lock kids up more than 1 year?

They can only be framed as something like "If you're playing here as of this date you get paid this amount" ("if" being the key word).
