He may have meant “run it back” …into the portal.
It’s hard to know what’s he’s worth in a vacuum, this crazy portal period is unprecedented- you can base it on what you think guys got last year but now with Rev share some schools have almost unlimited budgets.
If you gave me a trade off of not getting Dix, but getting Jacari White instead but that frees up enough to get Quaintance as the PF, I would take that trade off in a heartbeat, but if we don’t have another SG as plan B then paying Dix $2M might be an OK answer

Sorry but spending 1/5 of budget on a guy who shoots 3s but can't guard his own shadow makes little sense. That's if budget is 10mil. Yet dont want to spend let's say 500k for a guy who could be really good in right situation. Some of you not good with building team around money and think it's Madden with Salary cap turned off. I would just pass on Dix because sorry he's far from worth the 2mil if that's the number.
