Will start by saying I think May is good coach

Though, I do agree with altgeld that a Final Four appearance via non-P5 school doesn't instantly make you elite

Nobody is shaking in their boots to go up against Larranaga or Brian Dutcher, although like May, they are or were good coaches in their own right

Michigan loaded up in the front court last year as well, and we took an injury ravaged squad into Ann Arnor and thumped them by 20

Two names to keep an eye on.

There will be more to come with the second round of transfers coming.
Thanks for giving us a distraction and a couple of other players to look at - it’s funny, clearly Luis is not coming back to St John’s given how the season ended, but now Pitino is in a media tour telling everyone he should go pro even though he’s not on draft boards - saying he’s ready! He just doesn’t want to face him next year- it’s the most Pitino thing ever - give some really self serving bad advice!

I feel like I’ve gotten pretty in tune with what International players will do well in college- this one is a no in my book, I do like the French kid as a developmental piece who can play some now

If nil is non-binding, couldn’t Rez say FU and move on…I mean if it was truly about how he would get used…etc.

Mirkovic shot 27% from 3 and at Basketball without Borders was one of the slowest, unathletic players at the camp. Combined with the Ivisic twins and Jake Davis, I honestly don’t see the vision at all. Seems we’re somehow getting less athletic and worse at shooting than last year. Would rather have Ben back than Mirkovic
Yeah if that kid isn’t shooting 45% from 3, he’s worthless. Ben H would beat him in a shuttle run bY a full second.

And not just guys coming back. We need news about new players to get excited about. Fair or not, mot of us have already greeked out on what we know, we need something new to get excted about.

It feels like a lot of teams we compare ourself with have had new players. I know the train hasn't left the station yet but we've got off to a slow start. I trust the staff and know the train will circle back around.

Another huge factor in May’s F4 run is they were on the 8/9 line in Purdue’s bracket the year Purdue got upset by Farleigh Dickinson. Now FAU did beat some pretty good teams in the S16 and E8, but I have my doubts they would have had an answer for Edey.

Purdue manages to get by a 16 and all of a sudden May’s resume is pretty unremarkable IMO. He is certainly getting talent at Michigan though.

Not on offense. Underwood has bought hook line and sinker into shooting 3s and shunning 2s and post touches

No more international players! Ask Mick Cronin what he thinks of them. They are Charmin soft. I’m fine with Toni and Sarr, but we need some kids that are dawgs. I can’t stand Tre Holloman, but would love a player of his type on our team.

He went 35-4 that year. Then went 27-9 the next year. At FAU.

We’re suddenly trending towards being a middle of the pack Big Ten team. There’s only like 4 kids left in the top 25 not committed. Feels like if we need a difference maker he’s going to have to come from Europe.

Brad has showed that he needs a bonafide AA to have success in this league. Not sure where that’s going to come from.

RJ Luis is going to be 23 this upcoming season. He should go to the draft given his age if he has a chance at the 1st rd. The older you get the less desirable you are as a prospect

I'm with you here. I don't see that guy being someone excelling here. Just another guy to "hide" on defense due to lack of quickness.

Everyone would agree with you if he was going to be picked in the first round- but he’s not, he’s #72 on Givony’s draft board and a mid to late second round pick on some and undrafted on others

I just thought it’s funny Pitino telling him he shouldn’t return to college even though he may go undrafted or has to sign a 2 way which is where he’s projected right now- that’s awful advice if you have a year left and can make serious money. TSJ came back and significantly improved his stock as a 23 year old

I am really pissed about the Morez Johnson deal. I blame Brad totally for a lot of these guys leaving. Rez can play in the big. Illinois has only 1 player that is physical and Brad lets him walk! Illinois will never be a national contender with a team that plays NO DEFENSE and can't SHOOT STRAIGHT.
