To be that confident would likely be someone OA landed, a Illinois HS player, or a near previous committed player for the Illini.Watkins is not the #1 guy that I am looking for to enter (he would be #2). When #1 enters (assuming he does), I will let everyone know. The staff is VERY confident they will land this kid if he enters, and it would be a massive addition.

Completely different talent levels. Uwe was one of the most impactful players in the big 10, Olaf barely saw the light of day.Uwe was pretty good, younger brother Olaf struggled a bit. Both 7ft+. From Germany via Effingham exchange students.

Like you said he’s highly likely a first round pick and will go- the only path would be that he doesn’t have very good measurables at the combine- wingspan, vertical, bench, short area quickness, likely won’t be good for him, so if that pushes him to second round, he could come backSo I have written Riley off as a 1% chance of returning, but going through draft boards seems like he will fall somewhere in the mid/late 20's and potentially into the 2nd round. Granted, I would imagine his stock is trending way up, and we will see what happens in a few weeks when the combine starts, but is there a realistic path to him returning?
I too am very curious, but I didn’t take @LvilleILL1 to mean “better” necessarily, but rather that this guy will be the #1 priority target over Watson. I figure that could be due to better relationships or other “ins” with this player over Watson.Wow, that’s a mic drop
Someone like PJ Haggerty or JT Toppin would be massive but I have no idea why we would be confident we would get them- so probably not them
The kid from UC SanDiego that’s from NZ would be awesome if he still has eligibility with the new rule
Someone better than Watkins is very intriguing!
Is JJ Starling a possibility? 17 PPG, haven't heard much of him in Syracuse. I'm sure OA has cross paths with him, New York HS player. 6-4 but only 30% 3 pt shooting.Wow, that’s a mic drop

Maybe Adou Thiero? clearly a connection to OA there and he is showing up in the second round now in mocks - as others said earlier - that would be massive and I would also prioritize him over WatkinsI too am very curious, but I didn’t take @LvilleILL1 to mean “better” necessarily, but rather that this guy will be the #1 priority target over Watson. But we’ll see
