My college team got a kid from the former Yugoslavia to replace a Chicagoan who left.

My idiot pro team traded a phenom from the former Yugoslavia to get past his prime Chicagoan.

Additional million dollar question: but is it wise to ignore Chicagoans when you are a college in the same state?

This kid might be skilled, but our front court is going to be extremely unathletic on defense. Another year of 5 out offense and drop coverage (terrible defense). Yay (n)
Gonna need a defensive coaching savant. If it ain’t Hamer, finding one better be a priority. I might be wrong, but defensively the bigs look charmin soft. Offensively they will be hard to handle.

If Fletch can add 30 lbs. Of muscle each on the the twins the possibilities can be very positive.

Who’s the SG? That’ll be important.. wish we could’ve gotten a rebounding 4… we are going to get killed on the glass next year
Not sure how you’re arriving at a bad rebounding team from two 7+ footers, a 6’9” 250 lb player, and Kylan Boswell and Ty Rodgers at G/SF. Heck Bos and Ty are probably going to average 13-14 between the two, which is already 1/3 of the way to being the best rebounding team in the country…

I cannot state how freaking bad i hate the drop coverage.
Funny enough, when I used to coach, we would use drop coverage, but our post players would drop maybe 4 feet off the offensive post player. We wanted them to be close enough that if the post player got the ball, they could pressure them (force them to dribble or make a contested pass). I HATE HATE HATE that we drop our guys 15 feet away, under the basket and leave the offensive post player completely unguarded (especially genius gameplan by Hamer against Maryland with an unbelievable player like Queen just obliterating that coverage). Drop has it's place, but why would you drop when you had a guy like Morez?

Fun fact: The Croatian and Montenegrin Languages are very mutually intelligible, and are considered by non-locals as two dialects of the same language. (They're qualified as different languages because of politics and the history of the region.) We could have three players on the court all communicating in a language other than English.

Is Underwood allergic to a 6'8 freak athlete that can rebound, block shots, defend? I swear, every year I'm watching tourney teams that are chalk full of amazing athletes.. And we are over here loading up with the slowest front court-with 0 lateral quickness..

Sorry for all the questions…just excited.

Would Mirk and (hopefully) Sarr come in as a “sophomores” like Tomi due to their professional experience? Also, is Mirk considered a likely one and done like Sarr?

Also, I hope there’s a plan to Fletch the Balkan Express hard and work on their lateral quickness. Would like to see them look more like Morez than Nick Smith come next season.
