That is a lot of muscle. If Fletch can add 30 lbs. Of muscle each on the the twins the possibilities can be very positive.

I don't recall Verdonk getting a Nike Summit invitation.I'm getting some Ben Verdonk vibes here, a little taller and more O but a stout role player.
I saw that too- not the most ringing endorsement “He’s not the most consistent shooter, he’s limited athletically and probably a real concern on defense- but he makes up for it with . . . Good intentions?”Per 247(free):
"Mirkovic helps fill a big need for Illinois at the four. His three-point percentage isn't the most consistent, but he is a shooter who can stretch the floor. He isn't the quickest or most athletic, so defense can be a concern, though he has active hands to get into passing lanes. He also is a very strong rebounder with a strong frame. Mirkovic also is a good passer with good vision, so he continues the Illini's preference for size and skill. Mirkovic has the chance to be a starter but at least is a different flavor in the Illinois frontcourt. While there are questions about the defensive fit, Mirkovic fits offensive alongside stretch Tomislav Ivisic and Zvonimir Ivisic and would be part of a complementary rotation with Ty Rodgers, a smaller but more athletic option."
I hope that our remaining openings go to some plus plus athletes.
How impressive is this? Genuinely don’t knowI don't recall Verdonk getting a Nike Summit invitation.
If they are, we’ll hockey shift all game!I still don't think we should sell our two incoming freshmen short. I know this has become an older man's game, but we picked up two good players to help support. Who knows that one of them may become a starter.
I hope soWonder if this is the guy they’re waiting on![]()

I think we need a quality point guard also, what happens if Boswell gets in foul trouble?Good vet backup guard, Sarr/another wing if he goes to the NBA (unlikely), and take some big swings at the two. Three more additions plus maybe a practice player left.
"Good vet backup gaurd" has that covered.I think we need a quality point guard also, what happens if Boswell gets in foul trouble?
I remember seeing Dirk Nowitzki for the first time watching this. Apparently the alum list is decent including Kofi and some Garnett fellow. How impressive is this? Genuinely don’t know
His dad was a tremendous shooter as well.I hope so
Yes. He's going to be really good. Tomi level player.Watching Mirkovic tape and am struggling to see a B1G level player. Am I crazy?
He reminds me of a less athletic Giorgi with a better jump shot… which is fine, but really doesn’t move the needle one bit imo. We need guards and scoring wings. Our bigs aren’t physical.Yes. He's going to be really good. Tomi level player.
Will Riley’s mom being the only Illinois-related frame in “one shining moment” must mean Will is coming back right?
How about a Manhattan Project with a couple of big BOOMS!!Illinois gonna need an NIL Marshall Plan with all this money going to Europeans
Or Duke, no?Good vet backup guard, Sarr/another wing if he goes to the NBA (unlikely), and take some big swings at the two. Three more additions plus maybe a practice player left.
Have you forgotten our original point guard from the elite 8 team? Ty Rodgers.I think we need a quality point guard also, what happens if Boswell gets in foul trouble?
In theory, the drop coverage works if you run allow your opponent to only take bad twos. Unfortunately, we ended up letting them take mid-range twos that by definition are bad, but were repeatedly taken by skilled mid-range shooters. We also didn’t have the rim protector needed to stop strong interior games. But I agree… let’s not do that unless we’re absolutely sure we have the horses to run it effectively.I cannot state how freaking bad i hate the drop coverage.
Elite intentions!I saw that too- not the most ringing endorsement “He’s not the most consistent shooter, he’s limited athletically and probably a real concern on defense- but he makes up for it with . . . Good intentions?”
