I'm on board - he'll be 22 when the season starts and he's a very good 3pt and FT shooter - he can play primarily at SG but also be the backup PG he's physically ready for the Big Ten now. I'd feel better about him if we had another SG so we're not totally betting on him to be the starter, but I think he's play a lot regardless. He entered and withdrew from the NBA draft in 2024, so he would be taking another year to up his profile. It seems we've found a bit of a CBB hack - get the 22 year olds that are still eligible for CBB that have been playing in pro leagues who's games translate right away. Obviously being Mirkovic's teammate now would help both of them acclimate - sign him up!
I don't think Thunder dunks are an important part of being a PG. Our own best ever Dwill or this years best in the B10 Braden Smith didn't have many if any. Maybe Steve Nash, Stockton. CP3 or Curry have but I don't recall any. If our pg can handle the ball, pressure, shoot, pass and lead I could care less if our next PG ever dunks. Hell Curry said he isn't dunking again in his career. It's not that important as a PG.I didn't see one thunderous dunk in those highlights so I think I know how this is going to go...
This kid is impressive! Comes out of the ball nice. Reminds me of Will with better handles. Indy are we after him and what’s the chances?
I'm wondering what is preventing older players who have never played in the U.S. from eligibility. It doesn't appear they are strictly enforcing the rules about professional contracts anymore. I mean, based on a simple google search, it looks like Bogavac has signed not one, but two professional contracts, so if they allow him but start enforcing that only for older players, I don't see how the courts don't end up having an issue with that.I'm on board - he'll be 22 when the season starts and he's a very good 3pt and FT shooter - he can play primarily at SG but also be the backup PG he's physically ready for the Big Ten now. We're aiming to answer the age-old question "can a European men's professional basketball club win an NCAA Championship?"
I have been trying to stay out of this Morez drama, but if this is true…this is absolutely pathetic….you have to man up and stand behind what you say.
Right… has SC derby even been a good team? Would they be considered a G league team? Or is it a club team that acts as a Farm team for the university of Illinois now? We're aiming to answer the age-old question "can a European men's professional basketball club win an NCAA Championship?"
this guy looks smooth
I know he’s going to get minimal minutes but… woof.
Possible backup point guard, just hit the portal.
They are currently 11th in the ABA with a 10-16 record. A G League team would probably blow them out of the water to be honest, because G League teams are full of guys that are almost good enough to be in the NBA, whereas on ABA teams there might be one or two guys on each team that are almost good enough to be in the NBA.Right… has SC derby even been a good team?
