Illinois Hoops Recruiting Thread

With the new threads everyday it’s kinda hard to keep up. Have we added any athletes to the radar that we have a legitimate shot with? These euros can be super skilled but athletically they are just not there. We can help them maximize their athleticism with Fletch, but do we have anyone who can lockdown 1 on 1 in space or create 1 on 1 when a team has those athletes and is switching everything and playing no help defense to cover shooters?

As good as kj was athletic defenders could still turn him over 5-6 times per game.

If anyone thinks I’m full of it on this, I talked to a former Bundesliga player the other day who called euro basketball “p****y basketball” because Euros don’t play with the natural physicality and athleticism Americans do. The adjustment is a lot. (The context was he was trying to get his son exchange year in American basketball to develop).

Damnnnnnit. Pitino scares me more than just about any other coach in the country when it comes to getting recruits...
I think it's safe to say Jackson is St. John's-bound. On to the next! *sigh*

Might it have to do with Jackson's impending arrival? We all know a lot of these transfers are set up well ahead of time. Oh, and it doesn't sound like Illinois expects a visit from Jackson at this point.

There are rumors that Luis was not liked at St Johns. Maybe somewhat of a headache. No idea if it's true but Indy said he would pass on Luis if I'm not mistaken.
