Meeting with Sarr and agent tomorrow. Staff has the money/role to sell and hopefully lock that up.

If you haven't heard, there is real Adam Miller to Illinois buzz right now. We will see what comes of it but I think there's a decent chance he's coming back. Would not be a guaranteed starter if he comes and they will bring in another 2 guard along with Miller.
I’m here for it. Closing time baby!

Riley > Sarr and it's just hard to be a first round pick. Ayo wasn't a furst rounder and so many others. Sarr may bet there but those 30 or so players IMO are better than Sarr is right now. Plus, with the money in college he can possibly make more at U of I and have more fun than as a mid to late second round pick that goes to the G League. I hope KJ is in his ear. It worked well for KJ, tsj, to wait and Kofi probably should have too.
Very encouraged by Mirkovic tonight and I hope Sarr comes with him. He was solid too. A lot of good players in that game tonight.

Only way I don't see it happening is if the staff says no, we will see what happens. Decent chance he comes back is all I am going to say.
Started for Illinois on a 1 seed team as a freshman. Now will likely come off the bench — if he comes back — as a senior. I’m sure that’s not the career he had in mind. Hopefully Brad can help him get back on track.

Is he fully healthy? Does he still have his athleticism?

Don't like this move at all. When trash takes itself out, don't go chasing after it.

Thanks for the info on the Sarr meeting. I too really hope that the Illini can lock up a commitment from him. Really, a commitment would be great, but I could accept a decision that he's going to the 2025 Draft. I just don't like the idea that he could still put off making his decision a lot longer. That would negatively affect the Illini's recruiting plan/action moving forward.

Adam Miller wouldn't, in my opinion, be a bad option as a backup shooting guard. (But as you note, he could possibly come in and also compete for the starting 2-guard position.) As a freshman at Illinois, he was a solid shooter from distance, he didn't seem selfish, and he worked hard on defense. I'm guessing that Miller might also be reasonably affordable as a transfer. Miller averaged 9.8/2.3/1.9, while shooting 44.9/42.9/75.6, this past season at Arizona State.

Do you have any ideas as to who the other 2 guard is that the Illini might possibly bring in "along with Miller"? I've been pushing for Illinois to recruit 6'6" 215-pound Sophomore G Kennard Davis Jr. of Southern Illinois (Carbondale). Are you aware of any Illinois interest in K Davis from the Illini? What is your opinion of him as a player? The last I read, both Texas (Sean Miller) and Purdue (Matt Painter) are recruiting Davis.

Sarr is far closer to RJ Melendez as a freshman than he is an NBA 1st rd talent.

I don't think a player who is egotistical and self-centered would accept a humbling return like this, so it gives me a lot of hope that he matured a lot as a person.

I'm a sucker for redemption story though.

I'm not trying to hate on the guy, but really??!! He brings experience, but will he be ok with the role he will get or get relegated to if we have a young guy step up like will Riley did? Is he going to be a plus addition to the locker room? I would have reservations but I do remember him saying that leaving illinois was a big regret (that was him wasn't it?). Have those voices around him settled down? Risk/reward...is it there?

I rather have AJ Storr than Adam Miller. What are we talking about here? This an extremely disappointing Transfer Portal season for Illinois. I’m not going to sugarcoat this like other people. It’s rumors going around that the word is out on Brad Underwood and transfer portal players Don’t want to play for him. I don’t know if it’s true but over the last couple of years it sure seems like it. Now we are down bad talking about bringing back Adam Miller . Are you kidding me ? Adam Miller has done absolutely nothing since he left Illinois. Why don’t we bring back Andre Curbelo as well . He still has eligibility. Unacceptable
