Thanks for the info on the Sarr meeting. I too really hope that the Illini can lock up a commitment from him. Really, a commitment would be great, but I could accept a decision that he's going to the 2025 Draft. I just don't like the idea that he could still put off making his decision a lot longer. That would negatively affect the Illini's recruiting plan/action moving forward.
Adam Miller wouldn't, in my opinion, be a bad option as a backup shooting guard. (But as you note, he could possibly come in and also compete for the starting 2-guard position.) As a freshman at Illinois, he was a solid shooter from distance, he didn't seem selfish, and he worked hard on defense. I'm guessing that Miller might also be reasonably affordable as a transfer. Miller averaged 9.8/2.3/1.9, while shooting 44.9/42.9/75.6, this past season at Arizona State.
Do you have any ideas as to who the other 2 guard is that the Illini might possibly bring in "along with Miller"? I've been pushing for Illinois to recruit 6'6" 215-pound Sophomore G Kennard Davis Jr. of Southern Illinois (Carbondale). Are you aware of any Illinois interest in K Davis from the Illini? What is your opinion of him as a player? The last I read, both Texas (Sean Miller) and Purdue (Matt Painter) are recruiting Davis.
