I'm no expert, and I don't handle all these newfangled advanced stats well, but Andrej was on a pretty bad Cal team. It doesn't answer everything, but it is a factor.

Ok, checking teamrankings, it seems the BIG doesn't do well. Maryland was the only top-10 from the BIG, and MSU was the only other BIG team in the top 25.

Thanks! And yeah, I'm not sure... back when I first started using DRtg I thought it was like ORtg and higher number was better, but turned out to be the opposite (makes perfect sense though tbh)

I really need to get minutes played in there, would be cool to see how many 'college-level' minutes each team is returning/adding

I'll keep updating it daily and if it catches on, great, otherwise it was a fun project for myself lol

I honestly didn't watch him play at all so this is just based off stats, but he isn't primarily a 3pt shooter, did well shooting overall on pretty high volume, also appears to be a good rebounder and decent passer, 1.2 blocks per game is nice. Ben also had a better 3pt% than Will Riley last season. But Riley was clearly more valuable, right? Speaking of which...

Torvik's metrics of PRPG! and D-PRPG! say he's basically the same offensive and defensive value as Will Riley. So, would you be excited if Will Riley was coming back? I think everyone on here would be!

All those guys you mentioned above … They’d get other jobs and have interviewed or been asked to take other jobs … P4 jobs … But they also aren’t running the show on offense or defense … They are in other roles …

I have been on record many times … Tyler as Director of Scouting … Didn’t have a problem with it …

Hamer should’ve never been hired to do anything beyond Video Coordinator …

O, Geoff, Another assistant that has actual ties and relationships …

And the other 2 spots should be used for ELITE X&O assistants … Idc who they are or where they come from … High school, D1, D2, JUCO … Doesn’t matter …

But it’s very clear Tyler, Kwa, and Hamer bring ZERO to the recruiting game … We need dudes who can bring in dudes or coach their freaking 🍑 off …

Didn’t Tyler allegedly turn down an NBA coaching spot and a P5 role as well. I could be misremembering.

But keep preaching on about out of bounds plays. That has been beyond frustrating since Gentry left.

I think that the overall consensus was that Ben shouldn't have been starting over players that should have been getting more minutes. Ben is not the best but he can do better, he just shouldn't start. Confidence in the moment is his overall issue, doesn't matter how many threes you can make in shoot around, can you hit them when they matter? If you can't, find the bench until you can.

I'm curious about Stojakovic on NBA radars - is it highly likely he enters the draft after next year? It's a little surprising that he isn't going through the draft process at all this year. Does he need to show more?

Kinda and kinda not. The only people that have access to the portal are NCAA coaches, athletic department admins, and compliance staff. You or I can't just go access the portal. So any publication that publishes a list of guys in the portal, or publishes an article about X player entering the portal, is getting that info second-hand. So it is possible that Dain did not enter the portal and it was erroneously reported. It is also possible he did enter the portal, but has nonetheless not made any decision. It's kind of hard to even know what his post means at this point.
