This may very well be the first time that I've seen counting correctly from 1-10 (on Loyalty). GGs everyone...we deserve it!

Why is Devin Cleveland being connected to Miller's recruitment a bad thing? Let's get both!

And has been a replacement level since.

Embarrassing knowing they'd be paying more for Adam FN Miller than their best offer for multi-year commit, guy that just made a miraculous short recovery from broken wrist, guy with all B1G upside in Morez.

Being connected isnt necessarily the issue, it's what (who) they're connected by.
If in the Year of Our Lord 2025 you're still tilting at windmills against the Irvins, with TWO Mac Irvin Fire alums having been All-Americans for us in the past 5 years, I think it's time to let it go.

Hire Nick Irvin to replace Kwa Jones and get Miller and Cleveland. Why not? BU built this program with a similar package deal!

Because he did wonders for LSU and ASU.

Cool. He was a mediocre starter on a team with 2 All Americans. And he's been mediocre to terrible since.

I do not understand why this program wants to chase a player, who started every game as a freshman and then who left for greener pastures.
I’ve actually come around more to the idea of Ace coming back even if it’s a slight overpay
1. He’s a 4 year starter at the high major level, nobody were considering would be that- he raises the floor for the team, you know what you are getting
2. Secondary ball handler- he can be the secondary ball handler and start the offense to spell Kylan - he’s not purely a 3 and D
3. His 3pt % on high volume would be the best on the team by far and even if you don’t believe he’s really a 43% shooter now, he would still be one of our best shooters
4. He’d be another strong perimeter defender

He’s actually a really good fit for what we need. If we get him and Andrej, our floor just goes up so dramatically- then I’m still holding out hope that gets donors excited enough for next year we to try to get one more home run wing (Sarr?) and then we are real threats next year with a lot of versatility in the lineups

One thing Illinois should have learned is that the offense needs to be more rounded. Relying on 3s, and when that doesn't work, having no offense at all is not a winning combination. We won't even sniff the 2nd weekend of the tournament with that philosophy.

Optics? What optics? And to what end. No one other than Illini fans care at all. Will have no impression good of bad with future recruits.

I have made my feelings on Ace coming back...if Brad wants him, fine. But Id like him a whole lot better as the first guard off the bench than our starting SG.
If the Illini get Stojaković, they will have spent a large portion of remaining funds. Who can they get that would be a big upgrade from Ace? He isn't a stud, but he has been a solid P4 player for 3 years. I sure don't see anyone on the roster now that would be better at off guard. Could end up being a "perfect is the enemy of good" result. To be clear, I'd love another top player instead of Ace, but it's all about the Benjamins.
