At this point, there’s a “here we go again with this crap” feeling in regards to Adam Miller. We’ll see.

If you see other names pop up in connection with Illinois, you’ll know they moved on.

We need athletes. Stojakovic and Miller simply isn’t enough. Miller after his ACL tear is not near the athlete he used to be. If this going to be our roster we need to play zone this year and cover up our lack of foot speed.
I have this same concern regarding the lack of athleticism and how that could impact defense. Thankfully we have a defensive mastermind in Hamer! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Am I right @Indy Illini Fan?!?! Zone is not the answer and I have zero confidence this staff will figure out how to cover for the lack of athleticism. Gonna have to really depend on Ty & Bos to cover up perimeter deficiencies and Big Z at the rim.

It would be nice to have Ace back, but if not, oh well. No room for drama from someone with his record.

He’s a 23 year old man now, can’t blame it on mom or his handlers.

Agree ...

Like I stated last night ... Brad is not going to sit around and wait on Adam's circle to get their :poop: together and miss out on other prospects ... They've got until EOD tomorrow to figure it out ...

We already quietly have lines in the water with other targets ...

Stojakovic is a bonafide athlete at the wing and a lineup of Boswell, Ty, and Andrej would be as athletic as any in the country. If Miller comes on board he might not be the most explosive but he can be a sturdy physical defender. The bigs are really where we are lacking in athleticism.

Just here to re-invigorate the "come home, Adam" contingent. Want, want, want... don't really care what % of difference Adam is vs. next player we might or might not get. Definitely don't care how much boosters have to pay for him.

Come home, Adam! Finish off as an Illini.

If he's not committed by the end of the weekend they will be moving on.

@LvilleILL1

Not AM related, but a question on Stoj.

If the expectation is that he’s in the O&B, why is there a delay in the announcement (or setting an announcement date)? Truly curious, not being snarky.

Logistics?

Maybe a “gotta be in the portal long enough to give plausible deniability to the idea of contact before entering” sort of thing?

Is he still entertaining offers but currently likes ours the best?

Administrative?

Maybe literally planning the announcement?

Anyway, just curious as to your opinion on why they haven’t made their (public) decision yet. As always, within the confines of what you can share.

Thanks!

I am asking because I genuinely have no idea… This is not meant to be a slap at Miller. In a situation like this is Irvin the one who steers the process? Does Adam have much input, or does the player in these types of situations do whatever the AAU coach tells them to do?

Does that make sense? I didn’t word that very well. Thanks in advance. :)

Illinois has been actively recruiting multiple other portal dudes so it wouldn’t be that much of a pivot from Miller.
There are at least 50 other players similar to Ace with a chance to be a diamond in the rough. Ace is going to give you what he has every year, so it's nice to know what you are going to get. With that said, his cost is to high compared to a mid major player that could bust out in our system for less money. Glad they aren't going to fold and will move on if he doesn't commit soon.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Is there any significance to the Miller deadline falling on Easter Sunday?
