They are going to add another guard along with hopefully Andrej, maybe two. I still think Tomi will average 18ish ppg next year, mentioned it last week but people are going to be shocked at how good the guy is going to be.
This team will struggle shooting the three again! They need a really good three point shooting guard and I just don’t see it on the roster.

He was really, really good last year in his first ever year in the Big Ten. All the people writing him off as basically being the same player next season are (a) forgetting how good he actually was this season, and (b) ignoring that a guy like him should only continue to get better with experience.
3) and forgetting the guy had mono and bad ankle sprain injury in the middle of the season.

I'm convinced this is the only reason the story blew up.

(c) Mononucleosis is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). After a person has mono, their body develops antibodies against EBV, which typically provides lifelong immunity.

Edit, beat by @TheGMan And others.

Though my point is hopefully he can't get it again.

Hopefully he commits before he leaves. Otherwise id say not a good sign

I agree that he could become an 18ppg guy but he's gonna need to add a strong low post game. He's too big and too strong to lazily throw up fadeaways and jump hooks IMO. I'm sure OA is working that now but the scout on Tomi has to be "doesn't like physicality down low, will settle for jump hooks".

If Andrej is who you have targeted, you DO NOT give him ANY reason to take another visit. They have been working on this guy for months. You do whatever you have to do to get this done. End of story.
So what exactly is "done" in this world?
Seems you can walk away from anything anyone anytime anywhere.

Bro......lol. This is getting laughable(not you). Every day, another new name and another caveat.

UConn is the new flavor of the day on the heels of us not wanting him to leave TODAY without a commitment.

Awesome.
I believe the OP is merely mentioning another name of someone interested. It isn’t a caveat; just a piece of info.

I'm sure Kentucky has a deep bag, but beyond Quaintance - who I'm sure was $3-4M their other 4 transfers in were not the highest ticket guys maybe, Aberdeen got $1.8M+. Purdue supposedly spent over $12M just to retain their current roster and pulled in some high priced guys so, not sure if Goodman is just exaggerating for affect at how much they can spend, but I doubt they have the current highest payroll

Interesting. A year ago the conventional wisdom was that Pope was a huge disappointment. Apparently he did enough this year to gain the confidence of blue donors.

Of course, good feelings never last beyond one year in Kentucky unless you win a title. Then it will last two years.

Yep.. I also wonder what about Kentucky's roster would lead Goodman to make a comment like this. Other than overpaying for Aberdeen?

If I were to make a comment like this about a program, it'd likely be the one that sits roughly 75 miles West of Lexington.

I am increasingly repulsed, saddened, maddened, nauseated by what is happening in college sports. No country for old men like me.

Go Illinois always. Deep, rich orange (not Tennessee, Florida or Texas) and navy blue forever.
