Waiting for the NCAA to put their foot down on something like this. Hopefully we have a pathway and he comes in as a sophomore or junior.

Basically the NCAA has been beaten up in any court decision that limits a player's ability to play unless they've used all their eligibility.

It's a nearly untapped resource and will completely change the college game. Go get Someguyovic at age 20-22 that has played professionally for 1-4 years and is probably vastly cheaper then an equally skilled collegiate player.

I'm sure we have a path to eligibility that we pav s with Tomi, but it's still even a more seasoned pro player.

these are the comments every single godamn offseason that spearhead the "thrown off cliff" ideology of this board year after year after year rinse and repeat.

Petrovic was once big time prospect. Had really good profile, high IQ, skilled PG, more of a pure point than combo guard but he can run the team, or in your case probably bench unit. Only reason he wasnt as hot as before are injuries. He had few injuries that kinda derailed his progress but this season he is back and played better than anticipated. He reminded people of player that he was projected to be and had some really good games this season. It took him time to grow into his body and i think that also played a role in him getting injured.

He isnt crazy athletic but he can still push the ball and set others up, think Tyus Jones profile with slighty worse 3pt shooting.

Tyus Jones is an ELITE comp …

Well fellow Illini, we are now officially on the cutting edge of Serbo-Croation athletic excellence. We can even shout out plays in Slavic languages like "Cut to the basket!" with our opponents having no idea what was said. What's next, is the Yugo making a comeback? I am excited to see where this trend takes us. We are running circles around other programs with our Eastern European pipeline.

The Americans are going to think they’re in Eastern Europe in the locker room lol.

How can Andrej not want to play with these guys.

Is this guy the son of the teammate of Drazen Petrovic who changed his last name to Petrovic after Drazen's accident/death? I remember a 30-for-30 on Drazen and there was a guy named Mihailo who was close friend of his... and, like I say, he changed his last name to Petrovic... I really want to say his name was Mihailo...

Now I've got to look this up and watch it again...
First thing I thought of too.

Dražen Petrović was a stud who died way too young.
