I realize the "deadline" for portal entry was last night, but from what I remember, there were some ways of getting in after with a signed and dated note. My worry is that we over-recruit and lose our depth to late portal entries and redshirts. I get it, these guys all want guaranteed minutes. It's a tricky space to navigate. I hope the sell is that, in today's game, there will be certain games where everyone needs to step up. I hope that Brad can use a 9-man rotation with the last 2 spots as rotational.

I mean, is this roster seriously all that crazy though? 21 mil!?

  • Denzel Aberdeen: 6-foot-5, 190-pound transfer guard from Florida
  • Andrija Jelavic: 6-foot-11, 220-pound forward from Croatia
  • Jayden Quaintance: 6-foot-9 transfer forward from Arizona State
  • Mo Dioubate: 6-foot-7, 215-pound forward from Alabama Crimson Tide
  • Jaland Lowe: 6-foot-3, 175-pound transfer point guard from Pittsburgh
  • Kam Williams: 6-foot-8, 190-pound transfer guard from Tulane
  • Jasper Johnson: 6-foot-4, 175-pound guard from Lexington, KY
  • Malachi Moreno: 6-foot-11, 230-pound center from Georgetown, KY
  • Otega Oweh

Oweh - 4 million
JQ - 3.5 million
Lowe - 3 million
Jasper - 3 million
Aberdeen - 3 million
Dioubate - 2 million

Does all this talk of other guards mean Ben is back?

Are we talking Reclassified Freshman like Will, someone going through the draft process, or another Balkin?
Or maybe all these guys entering the portal with no eligibility get a lucky break?

Brother we have an undeniable top 5 insane fan base so lets not throw stones lol.

If you ask national reporters who has the most insane fan base we are always on that list.
And we should be very proud of it!

We’re going to be very active … Let’s just say some donors that had some reservations are starting to see the full picture …

Many saw what Kentucky was spending for this year and what a handful of others and said okay … We need to give more if we want to compete at a higher level …

Now they ain’t forking over huge coin for mid major players but if Brad and O can get a Boogie or Claude and it comes down to money within a certain range … I’ve heard there will be support … Beyond the resources already at our staffs disposal … Similar to the Will Riley situation last year …

Top 10 NIL … 👀
This x10000! I like BU but I understand the dissatisfaction on BUs results but either you pony up to support him or you fire him. The in between puts us in purgatory.

That's for sure - I've seen drop some serious coin on opening games of SEC tourney in Nashville
The state of Kentucky's main dish are the Cats. Louisville is there on good years and that's been a great rivalry at times but there is really no other sports attractions beside the derby. We have the Cubs, Bears etc. My cousins are from Elizabethtown. They bleed BLUE.

that's 24mil.

aberdeen at 3mil is bonkers but i believe it was reported at 2mil. either way is insane.

if averaging 5PPG (literally) gets you 2-3mil .... flat out ridiculous.

IF Boogie or Claude are options...

I know I may be in the minority, but I would be more inclined to go for Boogie...

That dude has an...Elite...first step...like, zoom he is by you. Him and Petrovic would be 2 of the fastest guards in the Big 10. And we know with our bigs being able to shoot...the middle of the floor will be wide, wide, wide open.

Boogie was pretty bad percentage wise from the floor...Boogie wasn't a great 3 point shooter. But the kid gets down hill as fast as anyone as I've seen and he is only going to get better. He can pass as well, and this is no knock on Claude, but if your looking for a ceiling guy...I would take my chance with Boogie.

I was one of the people roasting Underwood a couple weeks ago about the lack of roster additions. I was impatient and now I can say….

I am going to complain about the roster turnover every year, but I'm not going to worry about Brad amassing talent. He has always found a way, even if we miss on our big targets.

I'm still not seeing a knockdown three point shooter on this team, and that's concerning, especially after last year.
