Just out of curiosity for the insiders, if we did add another huge splash on top of Andrej, any sense on how guys like Rodgers and Davis feel about that? I know at the end of the day we are building the best team possible, so it is what it is, but just curious. Portal is obviously closed but you would hope chemistry doesn't get compromised.

From my vantage point, though, both of those guys seem as high-character as possible, and I think live with it.

Minutes will be earned in practice … I think both of those two in particular understand their roles …

I wouldn’t rule out another Euro as the last addition either … 😎🤫🤐

BTW, watching Petrovic highlights I was sold almost immediately. Athleticism, creativity, skill, speed, attacking are all words that come to mind. It takes a certain confidence to push the pace like he does, and I love it. Think it will translate to the BIG. Ayo, TSJ, and now potentially Petrovic make the game so much more fun to watch. Getting teams in foul trouble is an important part of the college game and I was worried we might lack that.

I really hope every player is told before signing that if there is an opportunity to better the team by signing other players, that the coaches are going to pursue it

Kentucky: We might be out-coached, and we might be out-played, but we will NOT be outspent!
In fairness, they kicked our butt in the tourny! It's kind of funny we're spending time (including me) trying to tell them how they should have spent their money when they will clearly have a good team again

And Pope is already busy doing in home visits with top 50 kids …

I really didn’t think they had an amazing year but he has re ignited that fan base with positivity and genuinely caring about people …
I thought a lot of recruits and players thought he was an odd ball. Have those thoughts of him changed?

Given the kind of cash that's been thrown around, wouldn't we be looking at 5 million NIL at least for a player like Fiand who was the best player on an SEC NCAA tournament team last season? Can we afford to compete in that sort of bidding war after throwing down 3 million for Andrej?

It seems to me just another year Brad is doing a good job on the recruiting end. I do have three questions though.

1. Can Petrovic find his high school transcript if he went to one? LoL
2. Can Brad also recruit a good assistant like last year? Preferably a X&O guy.
3. Can we NOT have the humBrickHouse?

I will give him a A grade if he gets all these answers right.

They play really pretty basketball to watch, that can't hurt. I was in Milwaukee for the Xavier game and it was impressive in person the way they stretch the floor and move the ball.

Cal's utilitarian bludgeoning with talent was often effective, but it doesn't stir the passions in the same way.

Who would you prefer between Fland, Claude or Sarr if the money is about the same? I don't know that it is but if it is or close then I like the idea of Sarr at his size, skill and potential. Or is Sarr more expensive than those 2?

Could he be that guy if we have suddenly found that kind of cash for another stud besides Stojakovic?

To my untrained eyes, he will have higher impact than KJ IF he can find his high school transcript and qualify. LoL! I wonder if he is somebody who can play multiple years of college.

Claude and Fland would be amazing... But put me down for the Fland group. Claude, as great as he is, is heavy usage and him and Andrej I could see some sticking. Fland can be on and off-ball, gives you much needed pop in transistion, and can shoot. EITHER is amazing though.

Agree. In a lot of ways Pope feels like an anti-Cal. Runs lots of good sets. Doesn’t necessarily chase lottery talents and/or rely on out talenting teams. Seems infinitely better at roster construction (I know they made the S16 but IMO the Arkansas roster construction was atrocious. Too many ball dominant guards who couldn’t shoot).

I don’t doubt Cal’s recruits will make more money playing basketball. But with UK’s resources Pope is pulling in a lot of high level college talent that fits his system. TBD on whether he meets UKs insane expectations but I can see why he feels like a breath of fresh air.
