It doesnt surprise me knowing the Kentucky fanbase, its like a cult.

They do have a great and successful history, as well as no major league sports in-state. College fan bases seem to be more intense when there's no major league teams to root for.

Serious question, is the league Mihailo plays in better or worse than the B10? If it's on par or better then wow. He is better look like he could be an All B10 type guard.

It’s better than the Big Ten. Different style of play/the way the games are called so he will have to adjust to that and the physicality that they allow in the Big Ten.

Have we heard anything one way or another with Humrichous? I'm assuming he has eligibility so is he coming back?

Assuming they add Stojakovic the lineup looks like(don't think I'm forgetting anyone).

Humrichous could probably slide into that 8th spot and Lee looks like he could make some contributions but if youre adding anything additional guys I can definitely see why it would make sense to go to donors and potentially make another big splash.

I think it's already a very good top 7 with some other guys like David and Lee that can probably contribute but if you add another top end talent and push Mirk/Zvonimir/Ty down to your top 8 I think that's a national championship contending roster that should compete for a 1 seed.

I just wonder how much Ty has improved. I mean of Tre stays then Ty was likely gone and although many here dont think much of Ben. Are we really sure Brad has Ben behind Ty? Personally, I doubt he does at least at the 4 spot but maybe at the 3. Has our shooting improved since last year? Ben may have struggled compared to expectations but was still 2nd best on a team without Ty poor shooting 3pt team. I do think Tomi, Z and Kylan will shoot better and Ben probably will too. Anyway, I agree with most of your thoughts but I don't see Ben less or much less than Ty if we add a stud wing who will play 30 minutes at the 3.

If we add a second stud not mentioned then that could really bump Ben, Ty and Jake down. Another athletic shooting wing wuth size would be great.

NCAA Tournament games are also significantly slowed down by the ever increasing number of TV commercials which allows for more frequent breaks for the players, thus requiring less substitutions. It drives me nuts because it diminishes the importance of the bench and player conditioning and also interrupts game changing momentum. Plus it increases the number of inbound plays, something that the ILLINI have been notoriously bad at the last few years.

I was tracking with you until the bolded. The number of extended breaks might be increased, but it has no impact on the number of inbound plays that would be taking place. These inbound plays would be taking place no matter what. It is not like the officials blow a whistle simply to have a tv timeout. There is generally a valid reason for the game stoppage (though the number/length of reviews late in the game is getting ridiculous).

IF Boogie or Claude are options...

I know I may be in the minority, but I would be more inclined to go for Boogie...

That dude has an...Elite...first step...like, zoom he is by you. Him and Petrovic would be 2 of the fastest guards in the Big 10. And we know with our bigs being able to shoot...the middle of the floor will be wide, wide, wide open.

Boogie was pretty bad percentage wise from the floor...Boogie wasn't a great 3 point shooter. But the kid gets down hill as fast as anyone as I've seen and he is only going to get better. He can pass as well, and this is no knock on Claude, but if your looking for a ceiling guy...I would take my chance with Boogie.

Is Jamir Watkins still an option? If so, I'd prefer Watkins over Boogie or Claude for the Illini next season.
