These inbound plays would be taking place no matter what. It is not like the officials blow a whistle simply to have a tv timeout. The more timeouts, the more times that the ball potentially has to be inbounded, i.e. the ball was already in play after being inbounded when the timeout was called. Brad does that all the time. That’s because each team in the NCAA tournament is given four timeouts per game, and the sport itself, thanks to TV demands, takes eight mandatory timeouts per regulation time, one after the 16-, the 12-, the 8- and the 4-minute mark of each half.
That’s a total of 16 timeouts available in Tournament games

This is no different than a regular season game...just saying. There might be more tv commercials in a tourney game (i.e., the game stoppage is longer than what would be seen in non-tourney game), but the number of inbound plays is not increased in a tourney game vs regular season game.

Could he be that guy if we have suddenly found that kind of cash for another stud besides Stojakovic?

Sarr could be, in my opinion. As could Jamir Watkins, also in my opinion.
