I expect Ben back in a bench role as well at this point.
This is awesome. I can understand folks not wanting him in a featured role, but to get players like Ben, Ty, and Davis to buy into reserve roles is incredible for the potential of the team.

We may not go deep into the bench come tourney time, but being able to go deep in practice is under-rated, imo. Should be some serious practice sessions at Ubben next year. 😎

He should have come off the bench last season but Brad saw Domask 2.0 in him.
I’m fine with him logging under 10 minutes a game, his shot hasn’t been reliable, he’s slow on defense, and overall he hasn’t shown Big Ten caliber play. It’s not me being harsh, just an honest take on what we’ve seen

I for one am glad he is as s back up, 6'9" 250lb guy that's an above avg shooter even at 34%. Even if he isn't great on D he is likely the 3rd best vs bigger 4s behind Mirk and Z. That's one reason he played more in that role last year than most. He is good bench player and if he shoots at 40% he could be a very good one on a team that needs more shooters below 7ft tall!

Yep if he shoots it better even just slightly then he is a good back up at the 4 along with Z and Ty. I would love it if big Z can play D good enough to see the twins out there together often and challenge Mirk for the starting minutes at the 4 while backing up his Bro.

Will this comparison ever die?

Brad played Humrichous as a 3pt specialist. 75% of all his attempts were from 3.

That wasn't Domask at all. Domask did a lot of other stuff on offense. Thankfully. Because he was a weak 3pt shooter. Just 30% on the season. He was just 6th on the teams in 3pt attempts per 40 minutes. About half the rate of 3pt shots as BH.

They were completely different players on completely different teams.

Yeah I tend to think this was the exact opposite. Ben didn't have the ball skills to run booty ball. I think he was brought on almost exclusively to hit pick and pop threes and rebound.

"Humrichous is a guy we've worked really, really hard throughout this process," Underwood said. "Very excited about his package, what he brings to us. He's extremely versatile. I think he's one of the elite shooters in the country. I think the versatility, he can do everything from play the five to be able to do some of the things that we did with Marcus [Domask] in post-ups."

It's a beautiful day on my deck to watch the best game of the year with a cocktail the wind in the trees coming thru my deck, and some great adds the past 2 days! Thanks for posting!
