My guess is that he will be classified as a junior, based on recent history with Tomi.Do we know how much eligibility he will have? Is he a 1-year rental at 22? or could we possibly have a core for at least a couple of years?

That what it would seem like - he's not on NBA radars and no matter how good of a season he has a 23 year old 6'1 - 6'2" PG probably isn't going to get drafted so he's likely looking at this as a way to play on a big stage, earn some money (we probably are paying him 50-100% more than what he was making) and enjoy the experience - and he'll be that much more marketable if he goes back to play in Europe afterward.no one knows yet, but the consensus is 2 years
My mistake. After further research, he was born in Greece. Still assuming he lives in California. But it's only 6:44 AM in California. Remember that he is an American.
Watch how quickly we all pivot to a commitment watch for Dez or Boogie this afternoon.![]()
Took 7 minutes.Getting greedy here but is there still talk of signing another player? Lville thanks for all your info you have given us!
There will almost certainly be another player. Whether it's a player the caliber (price range) of Fland, Watkins, or Claude is another question.Getting greedy here but is there still talk of signing another player? Lville thanks for all your info you have given us!
Literally started to post the same exact thing.Just my personal opinion, but the longer this goes without an announcement the worse I feel
But people are just waking up in California where he livesWell it's already past noon in eastern Europe!
Fair maiden looks uncomfortable Keiser...is that a clue.../s
Counterpoint: Illini Legend Sam McLaurinPeople here need to recognize that the path isn’t “school and player make deal, Loyalty Board is immediately notified.” We’re aware that Stojakovic has committed because we have insiders who clue us in. In the interim, the legalities and such need to be finalized and only then will an announcement happen. Meanwhile, here on Loyalty we’re screaming “we’ve been told about this… why aren’t you confirming what we know?!?!?!”
10/10 would eat.
Totally agree but imo the fear factor comes from knowing that even though a commitment and deal is done nothing has been made public or officially finalized. Other schools won’t stop offering back channel deals because it’s assumed he has a deal with Illinois. If Kentucky doubles our offer I would highly doubt this deal is done enough to make that offer meaningless.People here need to recognize that the path isn’t “school and player make deal, Loyalty Board is immediately notified.” We’re aware that Stojakovic has committed because we have insiders who clue us in. We’re fine. All the insiders said we should hear the announcement by the end of today. If we don’t hear by 9 PM (7 Pacific time), I’ll start to worry.Just my personal opinion, but the longer this goes without an announcement the worse I feel
