Can’t say. Can say that I haven’t watched the Simpsons in more than 20 years because it got unwatchable in the ‘90s - but those old episodes hold up very well. Conversely, South Park newer seasons keep getting better. And that’s all I have to say about that.
Woah. It PREMIERED in the 90s. I’m very old. Guess it got unwatchable in the late 90s?

I dunno bout that egghead stuff, man. I’m sure you’re right. I just got sit com and big Lebowski references and recognized something from a book I read back when I tried harder at life. 🤷‍♂️ Where do we stand with Heidegger? Guess it doesn’t matter. None of this matters.

did he come back home to visit family? Peoria is much colder than Arizona.

If I had to randomly guess, I'd say he was ready to commit to someone and the offer was taken away. I still don't know why he's eligible to play in the first place. He's already played 4 full seasons. This 23+ year old college player thing has to stop.
Covid season.

Chris Weinke was 25 as a freshman and 28 when he ended his college career at FSU. This was in the 90s. More recently this guy played college football at the age of 55:

It's not youth basketball, it's college basketball. While certainly the minority, older college students have always been a thing.

Off topic, but I went down that rabbit hole once. There's actually some interesting videos out there about the original writing style and how successful it was. The writers were committed to having consistent personalities in the characters, and getting humor in situations where they interacted with wildly different views. I think that lasted for 7 seasons (IIRC) before those successful writers largely turned over and it went downhill. The golden age was awesome, but a lot of people think it headed toward mediocrity after a while. Haven't seen an episode in forever, but it's still going.

It’s Derby Week and it looks like we got ourselves a three-horse race for AS … seems like we are the favorite, but curious to know, for those in the know, what’s the beloveds current odds:

10-1
3-1
1-5

It all goes back to the season when he first transferred to ASU. If you’ll recall, he and all the other multiple-time transfers sat out the beginning of the season, awaiting a ruling on whether they could play immediately. Once that was granted, those players were also granted an additional year of eligibility since their season was only considered a partial year.

A couple of exceptions doesn't make it weird that you expect your average college basketball aged player to be lower than 26.

Which coincidentally is the average age of an NBA player..

Nah. I believe in love, man. I believe in harmonizing my animal instincts with my evolved frontal cortex or whatever the good brain part is. I agree that this IS a soap opera. The personalities here are so interesting. The trolling. The mortal terror. The irrational exuberance. The gifs. It’s a rich tapestry of relishing in the mundane. I love it all. And I love our team - whoever suits up - win or lose. I love rooting for them. I like it better when I don’t have to spend half the season learning who’s who.

This response proves my point far more than refutes it. You pull a couple random names from decades of college sports and say, just because it is common place now, doesn't mean it has never happened before.

With every passing day, we get further and further from college athletics. This is now semi-pro athletics where the athletes pretend to go to school.

Crazy thing is we all get to same destination in the end. The young man's heart still beats in my old body. I stayed grounded on purpose chose the mundane over adventure and fame. I did it my way but chose to silence the conquering drums that beat in my soul. A simple life, a quite existence.... Now in the end all I remember is the boys heart and think how great he could of been
